Again, do you think Colt McCoy sucks? How about Mark Sanchez? Stafford? Because if you think they are good QB's, then check out there #'s after their 2nd year in college. And if you still say Clausen sucks, and MCCoy sucks, and Sanchez sucks, and Stafford sucks, then you think everyone sucks and you just like to hear yourself talk and be negative. No one will ever be good enough for you, because even when they are STUDS, you say they are only 'doing their job', as you said with Floyd.

You're not looking at the whole picture. Running game? NO. Decent offensive line? NO. An arm that can make NFL throws? Yes. Break-out games? Hell yes. Unreal throws that few other QB's can make? Yes. Poor games? Yes. Inconsistency? Yes. Staring down receivers? Yes. Poise under pressure? Yes (NC game, almost brough them back for a miracle comeback that fell a couple yards short).

All that adds up to the sophomore years of some of the top QB's in college football, although JC's was better than many QB's, all things considered.

Make your negative points all you want, this team deserved it the last 2 years, but don't be ridiculous about it and ignore the numbers and the eyeball test just to make a point about 5 stars vs. 3 stars...

1) Colt McCoy's stats after his soph year: 22 TD's, 18 INT's. Less TD's than JC, one more pick. So that means he 'sucks' too, right?

2) Sanchez DIDN'T PLAY A SIGNIFICANT DOWN his 2nd year in college. He redshirted his 1st year, then was 3 for 7 with one INT his 2nd year. Jimmy had 25 TD's his 2nd year, playing behind a horse-shit line and no running game. Sanchez's THIRD year, the one you're talking about, he had 7 TD's and 5 INT's. Not exactly overwhelming numbers.

3) Stafford's 2nd year, he threw for 19 TD's, and 10 INT's. Good numbers. He also completed only 55% of his passes and 7,000 yards less than Clausen.

It's funny, you're actually making my point for me, but you're so negative you don't even realize it. All these guys had comparable or worse numbers (or didn't even play LOL) than JC their 2nd years in college, and yet they are now elite QB's. But you say JC 'sucks'. Again, do you think those guys suck??? Because if you do, then NOBODY will be good enough for you, so why waste our time arguing with you?

4) We're NOT saying Jimmy is a 'god', just saying he doesn't suck. He shouldn't be annointed starter, but he'd win the job hands down IMO just because of experience, experience in the offense, and God-given talent. Crist will be great, but there's reason you don't see freshmen leading teams to NC's.

The one thing you're right about, we want to see ND in the top 10. That's not all on JC's shoulders however. Takes a team to get there...

NDinLa you did it for me again...JC is on his way to becoming an elite QB, if you can't see that I don't know what to tell you. I am seriously not a homer, this kid is legit and if I thought he wasn't then I'd say otherwise. Kid played behind a poor and underachieving line with little running game and still put up very good numbers. If we improve those facets even slightly we'll be a top 10 offense IMO. When did BQ break out again?

And using the game against us as a measuring stick is really bad...we were friggin 3-9 that year, lost to Navy, and had the worst offense and team in ND history. His game against Oregon, a real team, is a much better indicator. Decent numbers, but the 2 INT's cost his team a NC. If he hadn't played ND, his numbers would have been 3 TD's, 5 INT's. But he did play ND and he deserves those stats, but even with those stats he didn't set the world on fire, and yet he is still going to be a top 10 pick.

Point is, once again, that for you to say that JC sucks, even for a 5 star, (which is what Mark Sanchez was) is ludicrous. He's right on track. Hell, even better than the 1st AND 2nd best QB's in the draft. Just gotta be patient.

i mean how do u figure jimmy sucks for a 5 star recruit...ur determining a players quality based of if hes good or bad for a 4 or 5 star. hes the reason we did as well as we did last year because it sure as hell wasnt the defense, and sure as hell wasnt the running game. jimmys throwin was great this year minus a couple bad games (BC really) he made 6 audibles at the line in the first couple of games, u know how many of those went for audible touchdowns? 6 of them. god hes aweful. just terrible.

Whether Henderson has Pace or Ogden potential it doesn't matter because either one makes him a HALL OF FAME player!!!!

I am not a fan of Clausen and don't think I ever will be, all because of his personality and not because of his performance, but he is the QB of our team and I support him regardless. Sure Clausen, like our season, asn't perfect this past year, but both improved drastically. As long as he continues to improve (which will undoubtedly lead to more W's), I will never use the word bust in the same sentence. I mean he hasn't even started pulling the tactics of Powlus(our last heralded QB recruit) with throwing more completions to people in the stands than players on the field.
