Notice that all schools from the western part of the States except for the Irish!? I wonder if dickfuck Urbie feels left out and will suck his way into the running at the last minute? If not, then I say "go east young man, go east"!

We are not getting Heaps...I am 90% certain about that given all that I have heard.

We need other QB targets.

If we aren't getting him... who is?

UW is a high probability.

I know the ND coaching staff is going to be offering some others pretty damn quick since Heaps is unlikely to come to ND.

If you see more offers go out, then you will know.

ND has already offered two other QB's, so I think we have 1 of 2 things here.

1. Charlie knows not to put all his eggs in one basket with a QB after bringing in no one last year

2. The staff has a pretty good idea Heaps isn't going to end up at ND.

I wish Willingham were still at UW. He probably wouldn't offer Heaps. We know what kind of recruiting tree Sarkisan comes from.

Yeah but i think i read somewhere that Sarkisan is already in a little bit of trouble. I think, dont quote me on it. Do you really think the kid would go there over a place like BYU. I figured if he doesn't come to ND, hes a coug.

Agree....He is gonna stay in Washington and helped "ex-con" Steve and begin to build or he's gonna go to Rocky Top and help Lane...One thing is...He's stay gonna with the USC pipeline..Simply because he's a west coast guy...

I'm not saying that either, I just think it's 11 months premature to determine whether or not we have a shot at a certain recruit, I think a lot will unfold based on how ND performs this year, primarily the offense

Jake Locker has a few more years. Lane has a young crops of QBs. We NEVER were going to get T'eo. Less naysay, more positivity. IrishEnvy is a breeding ground for pessimism.

I said that he's gonna stay in the USC pipeline......USC, Washington, ot TN....I could give 2 shi*s who we get or where this kid goes....I wasn't one of "those" that said we would never get Teo....We got this superstar and let's see him do something on the field...

I dunno... what if Barkley starts this year? Do you see Heaps wanting to ride the pine for three years just to get a shot to start one or two? At least if he comes to ND, he COULD start as a Redshirt Soph for three.

he said he wants to go to a winner and doesnt want to ride the bench for too long. dont most winners have a pretty good group of qb's? anyway i think he is willing to sit for a year or two but beyond that i think is too much for him. we have a shot, if he doesnt mind sitting for two years.

Let's not forget this kid is LDS and that's something that we've got to keep in mind because he has yet to make it clear if he will or won't go on a mission.

So the real question IMO is he or isn't he going to a mission?

If he chooses not to go on a mission for the LDS church and everything goes well Crist will take over for Clausen and be ND's starting QB for the 2011 and 2012 with Heaps and others waiting in the wing for there chance for the 2013 season. At this point Heaps would have 2 seasons to play QB after he redshirts as a freshman.

However if he goes on his mission he will without question RS his freshman year and then leave for 2 years and not return until the 2013 season. He would return with 4 years eligibility to play and the time and experience could pay off in a big way for him in the long run but that said I doubt he comes back and is ready to play after missing 2 seasons. So I think the most likely scenario is that after Crist finishes his Irish career the other 2010 QB recruit would be the most likely to be his successor not Heaps as that recruit will have also RS his freshman season and then sat 2 more years as Heaps was away being Crist's backup. That recruit would have 2 seasons to play and after that time Heaps would still have 2 seasons of eligibility.

So my point is that if everything goes right and people live up to there ability and avoid injuries then no matter which way any of us slice it Heaps at ND would have 2 seasons to be the starting QB whether he takes a mission or not. It's not just ND either, if he goes a winner like he wants most of the situations are going to be very similar. I

He has said that his top 10 was fluid because he was giving new schools chances to recruit him, and this morning he came out with a new top 10, and there are some heavy hitters on it. ND still made the list.

Florida State, Notre Dame, Alabama, BYU, Georgia, LSU, California, Oklahoma, Tennessee, & Washington.

P.S. My hatred for Tennessee grows by the second. I can't believe I rooted for that dude to succeed when he was with the Raiders. Maybe Al was right about him, but I digress...

Yeah I just don't know how I feel about this kid. The more I hear about him, the less I want him. I am really torn and it seems like the jury is out on whether he truly is an elite QB. I'll be watching this one closely.
