I'd have to say Seantrel Henderson. Not a flashy pick but he is the most dominant LT I've seen on film since O. Pace. The kid is special. Will start wherever he goes in my opinion.

2. Chris Martin- He is committed to us and just the most explosive DE/OLB I've seen for a long time. A big catch for this class. He gives us explosivness and versatility...

3. Tai-ler Jones- Best WR I've seen in this class. He reminds me of Shaq with a little more speed. He is a player. We have his dad on our side, who played here.........

Thoughts?

I agree with you on Henderson. My other pick would be C.J. Fiedorowicz. Keep the TE pipeline going. Tai-ler Jones would also be another great pick up.

we need defensive tackles and true corner backs more than anything (minus the commits we already have)

Any 4+ star CB or DT please.

forget all the other positions. let's keep taking WR's and we'll have some to stay in and block while others run pass routes. just teach one of them how to snap the football and we'll be fine.

You guys better wake-up and take a serious look at our roster. There is ONE position we MUST fill this recruiting season. That position is SAFETY!!!!! Let me play out a true nightmare for ND in 2010. Heading into 2010 we will have Harrison Smith and Dan McCarthy as scholarship safeties returning. Older McCarthy, Herring, Sergio are gone. Gaines is not on the roster. Here comes the nightmare!!!! Harrison is a Junior after this season. IF and I know it is an if, but IF he has a monster year, he could go NFL. In fact, I saw on an NFL draft projection website that he is projected already as a top 5 safety pick for NFL scouts. He has size, speed, athletism and hits hard. The other IF, what IF McCarthy has issues with his neck from the season ending injury. The spine is nothing to mess with. Either of this situations or God forbid both would devistate our defense. We have not a single back-up to them going into 2010 currently on the roster.

So, if you want to know what I want for 2010?? It is 3 stud safety prospects and two stud CB prospects. The loss of Moore and Starling to USC was huge!!!!

I see you guys picking the 5* prospects regardless of position. I would rather have all positions filled with solid depth than a 5* at certain areas to only leave gaps in others like safety.

2 of our cbs who more than likely will not be starting corners both played safety in hs and we are moving them from safety to cb. jamoris slaughter, and ej banks

I agree that Slaughter can be moved to Safety, but in no way does EJ Banks have the frame to be a safety. He is way too small, he will remain at CB. So, with Harrison, McCarthy and Slaughter we have 3 players on scholarship at the entire position. NOT GOOD!!!!!!

Many experts think Motta will be a much better safety than OLB in college. I am all for a Baby Urlacher at the safety position - A HEADHUNTER WHO CAN CHASE DOWN ANYONE! But if I didn't consider what ND really needed, I would say I really want Anthony Barr because he is an athletic freak who truly could end up playing, RB,FB,MLB,OLB,DE, or S. I have seen him play and kids that are that big and strong should not be that fast and agile. It is really unfair to us mortals.

Several of the OLB recruits can be moved to S in an emergency and do quite well there. Motta being one of them.

The team is only as good as its weakest link, and, right now, outside of Stockton the DL (arguably the most important position on defense), is the weakest link.

We need some stud hogs at Nose tackle, several of them. It's not a problem 2-3 seasons down the road -- it's a problem right now.

After the 2009 season we have only two players who are listed today as safety on scholarship. Harrison Smith and Dan McCarthy. Slaughter could possibly be moved to safety. Herring, Sergio and Kyly McCarthy are all out of eligibility after this coming season. That leaves us really freakin thin at safety. Yes, Motta could possibly be moved, but he is definitely more of a OLB.

we did rugby punt here at the u of m for a while with danny wimprine so it has to be legal.

Yes... it is permitted, in college, to snap a bull in rugby formation IF you are going to PUNT it. The A11 offence in high school is designed so that ANYONE on the field (from the 2 QBs to the man that snapped the ball) is eligable to go out for a pass.

That is the difference between the two.

they did it from just spread offense. 3 wide, 5 line with a te and qb and rb in the back field.

The player that's going to get us over the hump and make us viable to compete for a NC. I don't care who it is, just get us to the promise land.

1. Henderson

2. Henderson

3. Henderson!!!!

He is a flat out stud!!! A once every 10 year player!!! Yes, think Orlando Pace. Players (QB, RB) will come BECAUSE of him.
