Well I know mine, it's the one that all the naysayers didn't eat crow about yet.....the fact that he landed Te'o when everyone said it couldn't be done.

Next year when we are kicking teams asses everyone is going to be talking crap about how we don't play tough teams.

I admitted it. See my post "Feed me crow". lol
I love that no matter what the circumstances are, even when people are calling for his head, both his knees are torn to shreds, and a special needs child at home, Charlie Weis works tirelessly for the University of Notre Dame. Landing Teo was a direct result of this. I believe that even greater results of this are coming in the future.
I wholeheartedly agree with ND in LA that Coac h Hopefully, they will finally translate into what he (and we) so badly wants - a winning season and a BCS bowl appearance. If that happens, of course, he keeps his job and Notre Dame has a monumental recruiting class in 2010!

Chryspy. What's your point? The topic is "What do you like about Charlie Weis?" Did you read my entire post? Well, I like some of the same things others who posted mentioned. does that mean I can't express that?
I mentioned that what some perceive as arrogance is simply due to his New Jersey makeup (Did you note that several posters referred to his "arrogance". Is that not allowed? If not, did you call any of them on that?) He had and his mentor, Bill Parcells (also from NJ), came across that way. I observed it first-hand during his year's with the Patriots and was put off by it - until I became familiar with his personality. He's really a good person who is "more bark than bite."
I also made the following points:
1) He thought the transition to college would be smoother than it was.
2) His previous four years at Notre Dame have amount to on-the-job-training.
3) He has done a self-assessment each year in which he has made corrections and adjustments.
I didn't realize that my post was being critiqued. I didn't see the title, "Literary Gestapo" under your name. So, if you didn't like my post, don't read it!
Perhaps you should change your "handle" to Bad Manners. Most Boston fans - of which I happen to be - have a more positive, tolerant demeanor towards others than you seem to demonstrate!
Maturity and good manners come with age. Obviously, you have a long way to go!
Many years of experience have shown this "old man" that no matter what the circumstance - good or bad - there is always an opportunity to take advantage of a "teaching moment." So here goes: When some posts for the sole purpose of criticizing another, now THAT'S arrogance!
Furthermore, you're responses indicate that you need to change your moniker from "Bad Ass" to a more appropriate "Jackass."
As the lawyer says to the accussor after he has had enough of the verbal attacks of his client, "We're out of here!"
I like to post stuff I hear from folks about N D, here's a little bit of what I go thru down here in Ga, today a fellow told me that N D went to Hawaii to play a bowl game to impress Te'o, right like a tier 2/3 bowl game will impress the # 1 linebacker in the nation, he also said Weis should be fired, soon even that will die out, I'm not saying we compete for all the marbles next year but I will say this team will win alot-I mean like 9/10/11 games, the talent pool is getting huge and if people dont think Weis can coach talent then they are wrong, the guy knows what he's doing we just havent had the guns to fire, as I have said and if I'm wrong you guys can SLAY me next year if the O line does its job the scorboard will look like a pinball machine some games, the defense will be fine and getting better, you can cover up D line issues but you cant hide a poor O line, next year I say the O line does its job and we win big, I'll take my beatings if wrong, and as far as I'm concerned Charlie has my RESPECT.

i love that we are going to win 11 games this year
Im so sick of this, assuming that the USC game is always a loss. Im not attacking you notredomer23 because I have been the guiltiest when it comes to doing this but it stops here. Last year a decent OSU team gave it to the condems. That USC team was a lot better than they are going to be this year. They lost some major contributers and have a freshman qb who hasnt taken one snap in college. I see us giving them all they can handle this year in SB. We have an experienced qb and major threats all over the place now. The days of me chucking up the SC game as a loss are over. Thats what I love about Charlie!Hey man I love you it. You are right. I want so badly to say 12 wins. I know this team is capable of beating them and everyone else on the schedule. The thing is until we go on the field and beat them I just can't pencil it in a win until we prove it. We will beat them, over and over and soon. I agree that Charlie is the man and will do it.
