Notre Dame hate consumes ppl's judgement

All of those ppl that took Hawaii, not because of what they saw on the field, but because of their hate to ND and Weis. Their hate bleeds thru skin, and brain clouding their judgement. Hate is blinding. How can you take Hawaii over ND? and just about everyone in the media snickered and laughed as they choose Hawaii over ND. All of them blinded by hate. After the press has been dragging ND thru the mud for the past month (9 bowl losing streak, longest in FBS history, rumors of weis getting fired, rumors of clausen bolting for TEnn, etc, etc) Where are they now? I would hope that the same effort used to ridicule, snicker, and laugh at ND would be used to show what happened in hawaii. I;m not saying ND is a national contender (yet), but that Hawaii win was great for this team, great for recruiting, great for weis, great for the frosh and soph classes. but you dont hear that, no one in the media is saying it, no one wants to say that ND is on a big upswing. Talk to anyone(non-ND fan) about the win vs Hawaii, and here is the response, "Hawaii sucked, you should have beat them." Now, if it was a loss, those same ppl, along with the media, would have been first in line to snicker and laugh at ND if they would have lost.

I live right smack in the middle of Tennessee and have "never" heard that rumor. As a matter of fact, most Vol fans will tell you that they have had enough of Clausens to last them the rest of their lives. I like JC, I would hate to see him leave. I dont think there is any merit to that rumor. If anything I would think that Cutcliffe at Duke had the best shot at getting him. Once again, I have never heard any transfer talk about Clausen. Where did you hear that?

Another Tennessean here and I have not heard that at all. According to most Tennessee Vol fans they NEVER want to see another Clausen again !

Actually I was right on time for the Bronco chase. I had my homemade sign saying, "OJ is Innocent!!!" and my mom's sign read, "Go Juice Go!!!" Ahh, good times...

LOL, I was actually seeing a married woman then. Needless to say that I "CUT IT OFF" right after that.

Hate does clouds peoples judgement. But prior to the game it was not unreasonable to have hawaii as a favorite. Hawaii was on it's home turf which it rarely loses on, ND had lost to Syracuse which is a worse team then Hawaii. But to all the haters on CBS sportline, and ESPN, f them, they need to see that ND played a great game and give some credit for a good win.

IIRC, the "rumor" started after Clausen spent part of the bye weekend down at University of Tennessee and took in the football game. I believe Golden Tate and one other ND player went with him.

It was a ridiculous rumor and there is obviously no truth to it.

mandel on si.com, who hates ND, actually gaves us a nice write-up in my opinion. i was shocked.

I heard the clausen to tennesse BS from Petros Papadakis. He is a USC alum, and local TV/Radio personality here in SoCal. Given his obvious faults, he is usually accurate with the details he gives out concerning college football. I never thought it was true or anything, I actually thought it was absurd.

Hate is a pretty strong word. The Irish polarize college football like the Yankees do baseball. People seem to either root for them or be totaly against them.
I could see why some people picked Hawaii for a couple or reasons....the Irish's lack of recent bowl success,the game being a "home" game to Hawaii and the Irish's poor record on the road this year.
I give credit to CW for having the team ready to play and for the team excuting the gameplan on a much more consistant basis. ND had the better athletes and should have won the game. I just hope this carrys over to 2009 and the Irish are even more successful.

Yeah... like i'm about to fucking trust the host of "Pros vs. Joes" with any inside information concerning real sports... I'd rather read Colts rumors and scouting reports from Bill Simmons.
