This could be a really good "change of scenery" game. They don't have to worry about getting home for another game. Get away from the mainland for a bit and take care of business. I don't, for a minute, think this team is a really good team, but I also don't think they are as bad as they've been for the past month.

I like the fact they are pass happy...our pass D is ok. ...I hope CW will finally abandon the run altogether, and dink and dunk to substitue for the run. If we run at all, they must be quick hitters...we just can't deal with toss sweeps or screens....we can't sustain a block on the O-line.

now, will we go to sleep in the 3rd and 4th quarter, or do we stay on the gas...that remains to be seen...

Hawaii is a shadow of itself the last few years. ... so very inconsistent. ND should get a great chance to play 4 quarters and dominate a team that coughed up a 13 point lead and a sure win to the Big (L)east champs last week.

Not kidding about my constant statements about "pups". ND's last 5 years bears an uncanny resemblance to a real life football situation I was intimately involved with. Playoff team lost all seniors and started next year with scrubs. Season was competitive against good competition but dismal record. Next year, 10 sophomores started and were competitive against 8 playoff teams. Team won 3 games. Next year, team mostly juniors had first winning season in years - 6 wins, to be exact. Next year, forget about it - owned the region. (But got smashed in playoff game...)

me be back. Nothing.... NOTHING is worse than this saturday. Thankfully D II and III will be aired. But no D I on tv is horrible. This is the saturday I dread.

But it is recruiting season, which keeps things lively here at school.

I got used to watching Hawaii develop into sweet offensive machine. Not the case this year. Nice to see Brennan hanging in the NFL. He should be able to find his way through that league as an occasional starter. But what they have now is not the same.

I see a great match up for the Irish.

I pray the Arena Football League survives. That is like football porn in the Spring. It's not the real thing, but close enough in a dry spell.
