From what I've heard both were present in the USC lockerroom after the game hanging with the players and recruits.

An unofficial visit for both but these kids' minds change like the weather and this turmoil on our coaching staff and from the fanbase isn't helping anything.

Well if they do go to USC, I cant blame them. Why would they want to be coached by someone that cant develope or motivate the players? They dont want to be humiliated every week, they want to dominate the other teams. Even if it means they stand on the sidelines a couple years to get their shot at starting.

But if ND hires Urban(Please god let this happen!) or any other proven winning coach out there. They will probably stay.

Weis can recruit and those rings he has are just eye candy now. They worked his first three recrutiing classes but now these kids know that he cant produce on the field.

It's Brian Polian & Mike Haywood.

Polian is a HC candidate for both Syracuse,and Miami(OH).

Haywood might just be the fall guy for Weis to save his job.

He's not winning with his own players at Cincy,all of the key players on this team were holdovers from Mike D'Antonio's tenure.

He has success from Grand Valley State but if he wants an elite job he must show he can recruit and be competitive for more than a 2 year stretch.

There could be a lot of reasons for this. Namely that they know some of the players there.

If Weis isn't the right guy, you can't keep him on just because you might lose recruits.

I'd take Petersen. Mark May said Boise State would have lost 4 games if they were in the PAC 10. Another reason that guy's a moron. They already beat on Oregon. They beat Oregon St. 2 years ago. Boise St. is the real deal and they do it with lower rated recruits. Petersen also does a lot of community stuff up in Boise and is improving the team's academic outlook. You think ND is a pressure cooker? People in Boise wanted Petersen gone after last year because he lost a few games. "Thanks a lot for that undefeated season coach, but what have you done for me lately?"

If they were solely commited to this program the way you think they are there'd be no point for them to be in SC's lockerroom instead with our players and recruits in our lockerroom showing their commitment.

God forbid we hire urban....i mean its not enough that some of our best D-line recruits from the past two years wanted to play for him instead of Charlie. Notre Dame gets recruits because its Notre Dame, Flordia gets recruits because its Urban Meyers team. Combine Urban and Notre Dame would just be stupidity, no one would be able to compete with the recruits we would get, and thats not fair.

Uh.. dude are you saying Florida had no recruits until Meyer got there? Maybe you did not say that but Florida is always gonna be a top recruiting school. Simply because they are Florida. The big three in the state are always trying to get the edge on each other. Now they even have USF to contend with. I agree that Meyer likely rules the roost down there right now but make no mistake, Florida has been able to recruit for a long time. I think Meyer has a great offensive mind too.
