After 4 years of Weis, we didn't belong on the same field as USC.

When Charlie was recruiting James Aldridge, he told his father that if he didn't win a NC in 5 years, that he should be fired. Next year would be his 5th season, and he has no chance in hell of winning the NC.

I don't think CW should remain as coach but I don't want to see him fired unless ND has a plan in place.

The plan is to cut ties with a terrible coach. If you expect that they are going to have a top flight coach lined up before they fire CW, you are dreaming. Getting rid of CW is the plan.

I agree that CW is a terrible coach but you have you have to have someone ready to take over otherwise the 3-9 season of last year will look good. If there is no one willing & qualified then let CW coach the team next year while you search & find a coach to take over in 2010

Anyone else think Mo Crum disappeared this year?

He was ok. I don't think he is MLB....he needs to be an OLB. Also the d-line wasn't that good...I thought they didn't do a very good job of keeping the blockers off him

Seriously...Meyer ain't coming.

He wrote that to help himself.

At UF, he recruits JC kids (never at ND) and is allowed 6 (6!!!) kids a year to get into school who do NOT have the academic background to get in. After a redshirt year that means 30 kids who can' t read but can run and hit are part of the program.

That won't happen at ND....Meyer ain't coming.

gordon ramsay!!!!

haha

Honestly, if you surrounded Ramsay with good coordinators, he would win. He has a sports background, playing professional soccer in England before his knee blew out. Then he decided to be a chef and has a bunch of Michelin Stars. Then he started his shows and he kicks ass at that too. Being a head chef/restaurant owner is on par or even worse pressure-wise than being a HC. His only liability would be that he knows nothing about American football. But he's an animal. He's one of those people who just succeeds at everything due to sheer work ethic, smarts, and will power.

Game plan

Game plan

Anyone here understand what to game plan was yesterday? If Charlie stay's for one more year i think maybe before every offensive play CW should let QB just draw a play in the dirt and tell everyone where to go. Would not be any worse than yesterday

I thought about that too... but who knows what can happen in one off season with a buch of sophs becoming juniors... look what happened in CWs first year... ANYTHING can happen

So, we were one Offensive line coach away from going 9-3 this year. Now everyone wants to start over and hire a new Ty Willingham in Brian kelly so we have to deal with several more years of bad coaching and recruiting. Good luck.

I can't believe it. Yet another negative thread from midwest.

I think it's PAINFULLY obvious where you're at.

A This thread isn't negative. It is an honest appraisal of the team's current condition.

B. You shouldn't end sentences with a preposition. It is bad form.

C. Bite me - now you know where I am AT.

We all know it is Houston Nutt. During the game last night, Mike Patrick of ESPN referred to him as Houston McNutt.

If he is fired he will get his buyout. If he resigns he will forfeit the remaining balance.

If CW had any class he'd step down like Croom. Don't see that happening, so I hope they work out the details of the buyout asap and line up a moving company.
