Last time I checked he actually won them a national championship. And for the record, when you say "TRUMP ALL" that usually means EVERYTHING NOT ASSOCIATED WITH TALENT OR EXPERIENCE. I was talking about Miami today Einstein. But since you bring up Larry Coker, you actually prove my point. Bad coach (he was ridiculed for being a bad head coach) who took another coach's experienced, talented players and won a NC the very next year. And then he was exposed for being a bad coach, and yes, he even got fired after running that program into the ground. Great talent + experienced players + bad coach still = NC. Way to go; you made my point for me. Thanks!

You're right it is a message board. And it's a message board that functions when people offer up respectful, civil discourse, rather than just telling someone they are full of shit.

When you respond that way, you rob everyone from learning why a poster's statement/opinion is wrong. If all you do is shoot them down, it doesn't move the dialogue anywhere.

So, spend 24 hours away to think about it. If when the 24 hour ban is lifted, and you come back and want to act civily towards others, you can stay. If all you want to do is say this person or that person is full shit, we don't need that here.

I agree that Weis needs one more year. If the school decides not to give it to him, instead of going outside for a new head coach, I'd rather they promote Corwin Brown to head coach, make Tenuta the defensive coordinator and hire a big time offensive coordinator. I still hope that they give Charlie another year, but this would be my preference should they fire him.

Regardless of where he is now or has been recently, he still has three things our coach doesn't: Quality wins over tough competition, bowl wins and a national championship. Like it or not, by that criteria alone, he's a more successful coach than Charlie Weis so having Fulmer would be a step UP.

If Meyer was not coming out of Utah Willingha would have gotten another year. If he would have had the same success as CW then he would have gotten an extension. Think about that. Scary aint it. We might think CW made the difference but maybe, just maybe, those guys decided to they wanted to win. I dont think Fulmer is the answer even though he is one hell of guy. I know that for a fact.

If this article came from any source other than ESPN I would give it ample consideration. Hell, maybe if the article was written by someone other than Pat Forde I would give it consideration. But, we should all know by now that Pat Forde finds a way to take shots at Notre Dame on a weekly basis. He and Mark May are the one-two punch that makes ESPN the most tendentious sports network in America.

ESPN makes Fox News seem soft on the democratic party. Never has a news outlet, whether they report sports or otherwise, been as brazen and open about their disdain for an institution as ESPN has been about their hatred towards ND.
