I've never heard that one... I think it's a great idea.....

New coach:

1. Who? Does anyone want to come here that believes we can win?
2. How many players transfer?
3. How many players de-commit?
4. New scheme.... How long will it take the players to learn it?

The team has underperformed....... I agree with this but it is still somewhat of a young team!

If you or anyone else is such an expert than why don't you coach...

You've twisted what I said. I said a national job, not "THE top in the nation." Is every Notre Dame football game broadcasted to the entire country? Yes. I Believe you have either mistaken what I've said or you are wrong here. I understand the frustration right now but it doesn't change what Notre Dame actually is.

Also, I think you should research the reasons why Urban Meyer took the Florida job at the time he did. Besides family reasons, apparently he felt he didn't have the name recognition to recruit nationally at Notre Dame (he was coming from a mid-major and Ty couldn't recruit at all).

Gruden has refused every college opportunity. He's an NFL coach and is staying in the NFL.

Meyer is the only name that is credible and it's obvious what we all think of Meyer. So who is everyone else?

david cutcliffe would do a better job with clausen then weis and I really believe that.As a matter of fact I think cutcliffe could do something with this team,but once again it's always a risk factor and ya never know how anyone will pan out.

You're either on the train or you're standing in the middle of the tracks....prepare to be run over. Next year, if CW doesn't fire Latina (at the least), you can count on an 8-4 season. That was the highlight of their season. Yesterday's game will be told at family functions, from former Syracuse players to their parents and kids. We may not be the elite team in college football, but we have the most History.Unless you have played for Notre Dame, you can't fathom the feelings of putting on the Jersey, tapping play like a champion today, or run out the tunnel. For your accomplishments, and more importantly the people before us who created our historic tradition

The only problem I have with this post is saying we will be 3-9 in 2011. I disagree because of recruiting the cupboard wont be as bare as it was in 2007. There will be more of a seamless transition from class to class.

Other than that you are right on. And all of what I said is dependant on Weis staying, which I dont see that happening.

who do you hire that can do a better job with the young players we have. Leech, C.Strong old ND coach and current Florida Def. Cor., Offensive Cord. for USC- no experience. Weis didn't either but he earned 4 Super Bowl Rings. We need a coach with experience, so we can say Coach Weis had no head coaching experience. 2 years ago Tennessee was at the bottom of the NFL, now they are 10-1. Thats because they never flinched during adverse times. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO FLINCH EITHER.

Maybe this is a *you* problem, not a Weis problem. Maybe *you* bought into the hype surrounding these guys a little too much, and have unrealistic expectations of them? I'll give you that there are indications of poor coaching in relation to this team. But Tate, Floyd, and Clausen underperforming are not on my list.
