my pneumonia is on the outside of my lings and they have me on some pretty heavy natcotics.
I can see why weis doesn't give a shit...I don't,Noone is going to convince me he's not milking the pain killlers with his knee.
I can see him in the locker room at half time.

We can't make 3rd down passes like that because our OL can't protect long enough to allow those plays to develop.

I know that some people on this board get angry when you question the team after a win. We will win this game--no doubt--but the questions are:

1) Why should we win?
2) How will we win?

The answers are the troubling half of this equation.

1) Why should we win?
a. We have a heavy preponderance of talent.
b. It would ensure a winning season regardless of USC and the Bowl Game.
c. A five year old could out coach Greg Robinson

2) How will we win?
a. Syracuse is worse than we are.

It's nothing more elegant than that.

That's why not all wins are equal-- the San Diego State win was pathetic. By the same token, not all losses are equal--loss to Pitt was the hardest to swallow.

We are not going to win this game because we are far more talented, even though we are. We are not going to win this game because of coaching even though, some would argue, that we have a "genius" head coach. We aren't going to win because this means more to us, even though it does.

That fourth down call was pathetic. We can not, CAN NOT, line up and impose our will. I don't know what it's going to take for this coaching staff to STOP trying to run the ball at will. I have never seen such unimaginative play calling. There is a high degree of cognitive dissonance in play here: they know we can't run yet they insist on doing so. To start the year we had improved to being one dimensional, an upgrade from last year. Then CW & Co. decided that we had to be two dimensional. The result: we're back to having no dimension(s) to this offense.

Flip it over to the side of the ball....it's still applicable. The blitz has had minimal success this year, they know it leaves our DB's one on one and they know we've paid for it this year. Yet, here we are ten games into the season and they keep doing it. Nazi Germany didn't blitz this much.

This team, this coaching staff is listless. I can't (yet I can) believe what I'm seeing.

You can talk about progress and patience, but all I see is good to great recruits having their talents wasted by an inept coaching staff and retarded play-calling.

Down 10-3 against one of the bottom feeders of football. NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL IS DEAD! And all you Charlie Weis jock strap sniffers wake the fuck up and realize hes a waste of money. Notre Dame made a mistake giving him that extension. Charlie Weis dont give a fuck if we win or lose or if he even gets fired, he's gonna get paid no matter what.

the pitt game isn't what did it. It was the meltdown in the second half of the northcarolina game.
Also, 10 minutes ago I would have agreed with you and still will for awhile, yes, notre dame will win this game,but this is pathetic.This game never should have been on national t.v.
Just a few highlights on how notre dame won the game.

I don't believe that for a second....say what you will but there's no way Weis is ambiguous about wins and losses.
