Anyone think our Irish will come out wearing green jerseys on Saturday? From what I understand, ND is in some "green" contest and they are asking fans to wear green. Just wondering.

I love the green jerseys and yes I think we do wear them on Saturday! Maybe the throwbacks from last year....

Hope not, stay classy this time around. By the way whats everybodys opinion on our schedule now that the dust has cleared? Kinda makes all those folks who said it was bad look silly doesnt it. I thought we should have beaten NC,PITT,even BC, they showed up to play and proved worthy of respect. I dont like "em but must say these three teams are not the bottomfeeders ESPN said they would be. Once again you never here a retraction from them, just "Big Boy Football" and their mouths. Hope the great recruits this weekend are impressed with the program and want to contribute.

I read an aticle saying that there is some "consideration" to making it the norm for wearing the green jerseys on senior day from now on. I don't care, I just hope that they play very well no matter what color they wear!

I think they will, and I hope that they do. Does anyone know what is going on on campus with the whole green contest? What is it?

NBC is sponsoring "green week", as in environmental green week. Whichever school, ND or Syracuse, reduces its energy consumption the most wins $10k towards additional environmental upgrades to the campus.

I do believe they will wear the green jersyes, and hope they are not the puke green throwbacks (Sorry AZ Irish, they are ugly).

And yes, it appears the green jerseys may be used as a senior day tradition rather than a rallying tool... since their success in providing any kind of motivation has been nil the last few times.

I guess that is as good a reason as any to wear the green jerseys, I'm thankful Green Week wasn't the same week as the USC game.

I wish they'd give it a rest for a while.....I love the green jerseys but it's become expected lately and there's really no surprise or "magic" about it....though we did win in them last time out so at least it gave the announcers one less thing to talk about.

The baby shit green jersey was cool. It made 80,000 gasp in unison. I think it fired up the players because all they heard was a noise made by 80,000.
They were ugly. We are referring to the USC game from 88 right? Or was it 77? Heck I cant remember.

BURN THEM! The last couple time's that they've worn the mystic Green... I've had my heart ripped out Liu Kang style. I can't take another one of those.
