Irishranger - can you point out 5 things in the game that were "good things"? Punts don't count, Clauson vs. 2nd/3rd team doesn't count.
No chance....Price didn't have a very good game at all (37 yd avg) even though he got plenty of work!

Kickoffs were actually good, the 2 that we had. There's 1 positive.
David Bruton is a huge upgrade from Chinendum. There's 2 positives.
......
.......
.....having trouble with anything else.

I didn't exactly say he was, but from what I remember he barely took 2 steps after getting the ball before being met by a GT player.....meaning the o-line blocked for shit. As far as Aldridge goes, you're gonna see him cough up a ball at a critical point...he loves that spin move crap and it's gonna cost us one of these times. Mark my words.

I agree that TT didn't have room to run, but they all were going against the same defense. In fact, one of Aldridges runs was over a linebacker who met him in the hole and he picked up a couple of extra yards. Thomas stopped and danced in the hole, and got stuffed. He almost looked scared. You may be right on Aldridge and the spin, but those are things these guys need to learn. Like I said, we're not shooting for a national championship this season, so now should be the time to get these better guys reps.

For most of these guys this was the first action they have had in a year or two so hopefully they can get it together before the next game.

Fair enough....

I don't quite understand all the love for Aldridge in this game though....take away his "long" run of 7 yards and he had 5 rushes for 12 yards. By God that's a whopping 2.4 yard average. How does that look "good" to anyone? Comparatively speaking? Is that it? Nice that he had positive yardage but he really didn't shine.

Like I said, we're not shooting for a national championship this season, so now should be the time to get these better guys reps.
I hear ya man...but this post-game shit is my therapy. I used to punch holes in walls and spend Sunday buying a new universal remote. I'm getting out my depression by posting.

Where was the stud Robert Hughes that all other sites are raving about? The guy is 5'10" 230. What about Luke Schmidt? Put him at tackle

Awesome, gone through several remotes over the last seven years
Maybe we need some anger management, indestructeble remotes, or a better football team
Just kidding on the last one, there is no better team, even if we lose every game!
GOOOO IRISHHHHHH!

Losing sucks, every time. I can handle that, though. It's when we lose by 30, are not even competitive, barely get past the 50 except for 1 drive, and salvage a field goal when it's 3rd and 1 on the 3 yard line.

trying to stay calm here and not trying to be a downer but with the schedule coming up and by the looks of today who can we beat? MSU? maybe? Lookin like 1-7 is a real possibility. Not trying to troll or seem like im giving up cause i'll always be Irish but just from some of the fundamentals missing in that game its lookin like a long year ahead of us.

Also i hope this doesnt sour soem recruits on ND

DUDE!
even if this is long season, what do you do? Pac ur bags and look for warmer weather?
THINGS WILL BE JUST FINE!

jakerbluegold - different game??? It's the big 10 for crying out loud, and a much more physical conference. Granted, GT's defense is very, very good and they blitz a lot. I'm glad we got exposed so early in the season and can improve. I do like what I see from Clausen, but it was mop up time and they only blitzed him once....and they sacked him. AA does look screaming fast, but we didn't try to find any other way to get him the ball because our line sucked. PSU will destroy us if we aren't able to be physical up front.

As far as the posting on another site...that's garbage. Shut up

DUDE! No reason to get hostile! Just trying to keep things positive. And telling someone to shut up,
just ain't cool

That is some funny shit.

Hey Gettysburg, I've been offered a job up your way. Originally from Middletown PA, but that was a long time ago. How do you like the area?

We've been here about 11 years...previously we lived in the burbs of Baltimore, which sucked. We escaped back to my home State after a shooting at a bank down the street from us. That was my signal that I was living too close to a city. The small towns around Gettysburg are nice....Gettysburg, even though it is a small town has the tourist thing in the summer which is a huge hassle....live on the outskirts and it's great. I live in the next town east of Gettysburg. The area isn't overcrowded but I can see that happening in the next 10 years or so...alot of house building going on....farms going under....the local gazillionaire is building shopping and such all over. Apple country just north of Gettysburg is still very small town and nice. West of Gettysburg heading out towards Chambersburg is also fairly rural and nice living.

York as you probably know, is a pit.

I was just working up in Middletown the other day :)

thanks for the info, Gettysburg. I'm with you, rural living beats the city any day of the week.
