Just saw an ESPN report about CW comparing his record to Ty and BD. They indicated that he should be in trouble. Problem I have with the comparison is that Holtz built up the program. ND scheduling and standards got ridiculous and Davie (and no human) could hang, and Ty let it drop a bit more. CW trying like a mofo to build back up.

Geez. Talk about an apple / orange comparison...

Whole world going crazy on ND because they stunk it up last week.

They simply lost to a bigger, faster, stronger, meaner team that was aided by officiating that chose to choke ND early.

And JC looked injured from the start.

Not defending the shitty performance, but that is what I noticed.

Yeah, but you gotta look at the trajectory. 5 wins vs 3 wins over shitty teams is macht nichts. It's not a basis for ascribing improvement. (Getting shut out by) BC is a legitimate basis for ascribing on-going mediocrity.

ND is on a negative gradient. It's Ty-as-in-Goodbye Time. Maybe not now, or the end of the season. But Charlies's going to leave without bringing ND back.

I dont want to add fuel to the fire, b/c this is ALL specualtion, but....

I work with a guy who is a member at the Penn State Scout site, and there is a thread on there where the moderators are discussing a rumor where ND is trying to come up with an exit strategy for Weis. Basically they are saying boosters are calling our AD and demanding something be done. The rumor is that Weis is going to step down and use his knee and leg as an excuse, saying he has to take care of that and step aside. That way the University is spared any PR mess.


With that being said, I want to make it clear that I DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THIS IS TRUE. It is a Penn State site and I do not think they have any credible information that we dont.

But in support of full disclosure, I thought I would share it with all of you.

Quick point (pun intended) - look at the point total of this team compared to last year. See any improvement? I do. They had a bad game. Forced me to chase and catch a greyhound puppy and punch its nose. Mr. "GoIrish!!!" had a nice night with his wife and ate some delicious pastrami. Then he farted. That's how bad our reaction was.

(Did anyone hear about the 2 LSU fans who got shot by the Bama fan after the game following an argument about the team? I am digressing... Damn ADHD)

But this team still scoring points. They have improved.

I am still on CDubs side, Eff the rest. But goes to show how much ND means to people when a nasty loss earns so much attention. Also serves as a wake up call to any ND athlete who thinks he is a premadonna and can cruise after a 14 point lead.

And Sureal, have I welcomed you back to the dark side, my prodigal son?

What Neut said. I agree completely. I am not ready to start from scratch again with a coach that comes fifth from a list of five. Remember when we did not know if anyone wanted the job? Wies has signed on for ten years. Give him at least four. i can remember when four years was the minimum. Geez what has this world come to. For the record I disagreed with Ty's firing at that time. But i know they thought Urban would take it, look how that turned out for us.
