What I forgot to mention in that post was that not only is Norm Chow a fellow mormon, they also went to the same HS. The connection with Chow could be a big thing for Te'o.

also, some of the people who write in to that blog are very stupid. One guy left a comment at the bottom saying Auburn was the leading school to land Manti Te'o, and Arizona State to get Shaq. just sayin

i have to disagree. i know Hay is the OC but we all know charlie has a hand in things. which charlie are we seeing these days? is he calling off the dogs in the 2nd half and overriding Hay? we simply have no idea exactly what the fk is going on there. charlie either needs to let Hay have total control or he needs to totally take the play calling back. with his hand kinda in the cookie jar it could be making things very tough for Hay and him getting in a true rhythm up there in the press box. just a thought.

You guys are right, I won't argue that. But ever since CW got screwed on signing days a couple years back by Little and co, he has asked for only SOLID commits from players. I know that means squat until they sign, but we haven't gotten burned since. I might be way off, but his declaration might be working.

Having said that, I will do a mini-celebration if he does verbal because a guy verballing to us with as much skill as Shaq (he's highly, highly touted down here in SoCal) is MUCH better than a guy like that verballing anywhere else, esp U$$$$$C. That's 95% of the battle won right there baby. Let's hope that he does verbal tomorrow.
