ND rest of the season predictions.

Well Considering for a relatively young team we're 5-2 and getting better week by week, I was wondering how everyone thinks we are going to finish off the season.

Well I'll start with the Pitt game,

Pitt doesn't really scare me, offensively they only have a running game, their passing game is terrible, but we usually give up a decent amount of yards because of our soft coverage.

I say we win by a considerable margin, they can't handle the pass look at how Rutgers tore them apart. ND 34 Pitt 21

Than BC, I get to see this game live 'cus my cousin is a Student at BC and got me tickets to the game, I'm gonna be in the BC student section prolly getting beer rained down on me.

This team has a terrible offense, just terrible. Crane throws picks like Daunte Culpepper fumbles, so I think our D will come up with some points. ND 32 BC 23

Navy, we should've beat them last year with our atrocious team, I expect us to roll against them. ND 41 Navy 24

Syracuse, ahaha do i need to say anything. ND 35 'Cuse 10

Than the showdown for the Jeweled Shillelagh, we need to add some emeralds onto that thing again. Their offensive line isn't really good so I think we can get pressure on Sanchez and force him to make mistakes. However, their stable of tailbacks scare the daylights out of me and may cause our defense a plethora of fits. Their Defense is just unreal, but they have lapses and lets hope they have another Oregon State debacle. I predict a close loss here. USC 27 ND 21

9-3 with a gator bowl win 10-3 and a preseason top 15 ranking with that 'amazing' sched we have next year. ND football is gonna be back and as big as ever.

As for my predictions, I say we don't lose until USC. I think we give the Condoms a decent game of it.

As for next year I see USC as our only tough game. I wish there was a rematch with UNC though.

I am a little worried about the smellyPITT game but if I score some tickets and wear my boxers I wear every game day we should win. So far I am undeffeated with the luckey boxers on.

Navy should be fun. I hope we blow their ships outta the water to let them know last year is way in the past.

We should be 9-2 going into USC which I think we have a pretty good chance of having a close game. We will probably loose because it is in the Colleseum, but next year when them trojans come to our town we will win.

I feel an awsome bowl game win and a top 20 pre season ranking next yearwhere we should only loose 1 game. It is kinda weird USC is smack dab in the middle of the season? And a BCS bowl game next year will show every body ND IS BACK

We are a pretty good team but yes Udub was that bad. Ill be at the armPITT game so im hoping for a win but I honestly think that one can go either way. I think the team with the most turnovers will lose. I feel kinda bad to think this but 8-4 would be an easier bowl game than 9-3.I WANT A BOWL VICTORY!!!

I predict 8-4 in the regular season. I'll reserve my bowl prediction until I see who and where they end up. The "toss ups" are of course Pitt and BC. I predict a BC loss before a Pitt loss, primarily because Wanne can't coach and it's at ND. BC always gets up for the Irish and they're playing at home, soooo.... And of course it would take a MIRACLE for the Irish to upset the condoms from U$C in sunny California this year. 8-4, but I would love to be proved wrong and end up 9-3.

Just me personally, I don't like the idea of hoping for a "lesser" bowl against a "lesser" opponent just to (hopefully) assure a bowl win. Nothing is assurred. Just going to a lower tier bowl game does not mean we are guaranteed anything. From a competitor's perspective you want to go to the best game, play against the best competition, and if you lose, you lose, but you go down swinging against the best.

Hoping for a lesser bowl for a win is sort of like asking an uglier girl to the prom in the hopes she will put out easier. That isn't good. You ask the hottest chick you can and go for the gold! Right? Just my opinion.

When the game is in South Bend, it is always around mid-October. Only when we go to LA is it played after Thanksgiving.

Why is Butch Davis a scumbag? Just wondering. I mean, there's gotta be other coaches out there that are not considered scumbags besides our beloved CW. I'm not the type to bash another guy just because he's not ND. I've always thought Butch to be a stand-up guy, but maybe I missed something...

I would have done the same damn thing if I were him at the end of the game. Referees called it dead, you go shake hands and get the hell out of Dodge. If CW had done that we wouldn't have said a word about it except for words of praise.

Butch turned around that Miami program when it was at its absolute worst (as far as criminals go), and people have great things to say about him. Almost every single coach has a bit of A*hole in him( Charlie as well), but as far as coaches go Butch seems like a good guy.

Sorry if I sound preachy, but just to call someone a scumbag 'just because' is not the type of thing a typical ND fan would say. As Simmons would say, reason #1,237 why I love ND...

I think we win out until the USC game, where I am afraid we will get beat by at least two touchdowns. If this is the case I hope we don't get too deflated from the loss and can still retain enough fire and hunger to post a win in the gator bowl.
I hope I am wrong about the USC game, but I really don't think it will be that close... course if you look at my picks every week you will see I am often wrong.

We didn't get crushed, but it certainly wasn't our best game. And how can Willingham have dirty recruiting tactics, he doesn't recruit !
BTW by all appearances it looks like if we win out and lose to USC we will go to the Cotton bowl, with the Gator bowl as a secondary option.

BC scares me more than Pitt and here is why:
I live in Massachusetts and I know that to BC, the ND game is considered a rival game. Similar to what we have with Michigan and SoCal. The reason for this is because BC does not have any traditional rivals they play; therefore, ND plays that role for them.
The problem from the ND side is that to ND, BC is just another game and rightfully so. It does however present problems for ND. BC will be all charged up for this game. This is the reason BC has had good success in the past against ND. Take 93 for example. I still get sick thinking about the outcome of that game. We were way more talented; however, ND's big game was the previous week. For BC, that was their big game.
