I knew he was going for it, 4th down is sometimes a wasted down. But how about Pat Kuntz?

The offense has moved the ball with relatively little trouble. Stanford's offense has also moved the ball well, but two INTs. Neither INT was a partcularly great play by the Irish defense. Bruton did show great hustle, and made a nice catch, on the first one. The second one was thrown right into Kunz's hands.

We're looking pretty good on offense. Clausen is throwing the ball with speed and accuracy.

Overall they have looked good on offense, but they have been giving up too many big plays on D. Hasn't hurt us yet, but it could later.

I'm happy to see the offense show some spark, in the 1st quarter. But the defense has GOT to play better. 149 yards in the 1st quarter for Stanford. STANFORD!!

Poor tackling, but that Gerhart is a bad bad man. Kinda looks like a bulldozer. It's alright as long as they keep turning the ball over. Marinelli looks like a chump so far, Kuntz caught that ball right in front of him, and he was called for a false start as well. Rudolph has looked great other than one bad block.

It may be alright with you, but it sure as hell isn't alright with me. A good offense, turnovers, whatever..........those are no excuses for playing poor defense. But, then again, my opinion counts for squat, except to me.

Why bother taking low percentages shots downfield, when you are picking up 4 or 5 yards on almost every play?

I don't like what I see either but come on... wait at least til the second half when the difference in the depth charts SHOULD start to show...

but I am willing to say I am really freaking sick of waiting for a game where we jsut dominate and CRUSH somebody... has not happened since the middle of Brady's Senior year
