Sorry about the title, I really need some help.


The cable company in my area no longer carries NBC. I can't get my dish installed before gametime and need to know if the game is online somewhere? I guess I can go oldschool and unplug the cable but the picture will poor.

Thanks for your help

You poor guy!

But NBC is regular network, so you should be able to get it over the air. Borrow some rabbit ears or have your wife hold a coat hanger against the antenna fitting on your TV.

I had the same problem a few weks ago. I went on espn360.com and watched the game. It had a little delay, but was very good. Better then watching with all the static the rabbit ears will produce. Good luck. Go Irish!!

your local nbc affiliate is a MUST CARRY for your cable company, they essentially cannot not carry the channel if they want to provide services. the only reason i can think of that they would get around that is if there is no local nbc or through an antenna study they were not able to bring the channel in off the air. i find it hard to believe that they would be able to get around the must carry status that your local nbc has or why in the H E double hockey sticks they would ever want to.

there should be people you can contact in your state that can fight the battle with them for you, here in CT its the department of public utility control. you can also call your local representation as the cable companies have to get a franchise agreement with the town. no franchise agreement no cable company.

is the game at 3:30 et tomorrow?

It could be worse you could live in utah where the LDS church has their "conference" week. The game will be moved from nbc to the cw station so that the Mormons can watch the church services, so looks like I'll be watching the game in standard definition instead of HD. Oh and the reason the game will not be shown on nbc is the LDS church own the local affiliate.
