You keep saying that no one saw this coming, but plenty of us, on this board, did see it coming and wrote about it. That was the crux of our argument. I don't know why you can't see that, but oh well. Enjoy the Stanford game. Hopefully we can sustain this progress. Peace...
I elaborated further on every one of those quotes. What do you do in LA? Do you write the quotes that go on the cover of DVD's? Like when Ebert says "This is not a great movie" and you erase the part that says "This is not" and put "A Great Movie" on the cover?
When I've brought up other sophomores who have performed at high level, you always shoot back about the talent guys like Tebow have around them. Then in the next breath you talk about how much talent there is on this team.
Clausen had an excellent game and suddenly you think that you've been vindicated. You've argued that we can't judge a guy from 10 starts or from one game. Yet now you're saying "I told you so" after one good game?
So if the offense goes down the tubes against Stanford (which I know they will not) would I then be justified to come back and say "No, I told you so".
This whole thing has gone way too far. I'm not going to confuse you with the facts, you've got your mind made up. You and I must be too much alike because I've never ran into this kind of friction on the Red Sox message board that I post on. I've had some smart ass exchanges and some really good point-counterpoint conversations which have changed my viewpoints on some things. But I've never had such a prolonged and ridiculous exchange with anyone.
So here's the options:
1) Ignore eachother.
2) Find common ground.
You pick.
