That shot they just got on NBC of Rich Rodriguez freaking out on the sideline covering his face was priceless.

MIKE ANELLO is a stud!!! I hope he gets to play a little DB this year. I'd like to see what he could do on defense. He's my favorite player on this team this year.

alrigtht I have defended him in the past... now it's the truth T Lambert is garbage... that is twice he could have EASY INT's if he would just watch the plays and not focus on the WR alone.... wacth the fucking ball!!

I'll agree that Lambert isn't my favorite player, but he is having a decent game today. I really like what I am seeing from Raeshon McNeil. Thank God he didn't go to Italy this year!!!

One thing nobody has mentioned yet today is how many freshman have gotten into the rotation today. Robert Blanton, Ethan Johnson, Darius Fleming, Michael Floyd, Kyle Rudolph, Trevor Robinson. That, combined with the big plays by the sophomores, has me pumped up for the future!!!

How about #29 from Michigan getting in Maust's face after that punt. Does he realize that his team is down by 18 in the 4th quarter and that he's talking shit to the PUNTER for heaven's sake. That, to me is a reflection of his coach, Rich Rodriguez. I'm so glad he's not my coach.

I don't want to take away anything from the win. Great job.

But seriously, there was some luck of the Irish today. First, the unforced fumbles. Then the questionable calls by the refs. Then the rain in the third quarter.

You take any one of those out of the equation, and ND loses the game. The statistics bear that out (yards gained, first downs, QB play). The running game was even. I think the strange lesson in this game is that Michigan may have found their identity (Threet was exceptional, McGuffie broke out) while ND has yet to find theirs (partially because of the fumbles they fell on). I didn't think Clausen played well, though the O-Line made some strides.

I agree for the most part... but Clausen played GREAT are you crazy!!! compare him to any QB from ND over the last ten years other than Brady........... he was awesome...

but yeah... we lucked into this one... but I'll take it... hell this might be what we needed to get some mo so we can CRUSH teams we should have been crushing a year ago.....

oh, and what bad calls??? ND didn't benefit from any 'bad calls".... the weather yes... but UM could have too is they had shown up.... where the hell where there any bad calls???

The statistics (i assume you mean MI total yards v ND total yards, etc) are deceiving because ND scored on a number of turnovers deep in MI territory. Had ND started in their own territory, they would have had more yards and TOP. Once ND had the lead, they traded MI score for score and then worked the clock.

They played solid football, making plays when they needed to, and scored off of turnovers. If they didn't score off those turnovers, then you could say ND's offense was ineffective. Is ND a top 25 team after this game? No of course not. But a number of those turnovers were created by ND, not just the ball dropping out of someone's hands.

Also, MI proved how one dimensional they are on offense. Teams will figure out how to stop the McGuiffie hand off inside and shut the offense down.
