I know the half has looked terrible, but thats mainly on offense. The other two facets of the game we look pretty good( ok well besides the field goal issues) Last year I think it was a coaching issue, this year its just players not executing, so things look better in that regard.

Unbelievable.....I agree...there are no excuses. Charlies has to take the blame for this team not being ready to play. No pressure. Not able to run. Claussen still looks nervous with the least bit of a rush. If we can't control the game against a squad who lost to a DI-AA team, what are we going to do against the rest of the schedule. Michigan is awful, but at this point, they will be favored by 3 touchdowns.

The worst part of today for me is that I was in bed from Sun night to Thursday with stomach problems and have had nothing to eat but bland crap....so I can't even drink this game away....nor have the standard wings, skins or chicken quesadillas.

After seeing scUM play basically like crap for 2 weeks I was really liking our chances next week. Now? Not so much.

we could use a turnover on defense and maybe a quick score to loosen everyone up. i like the way the defense is playing for the most part but we have to control the clock more on offense to keep everyone fresh.

Guys,
I know it looks bad. I agree, but let's see how they respond in the second half. I am happy with the D to this point. They have only given up one play. Further, SDS gameplan is to try to dink and dunk around the blitz. It is only getting them a few yards. As for the O, they look HORRIBLE. The playcalling is more conservative than a nuns wardrobe.

Some of you guys are killing me. I'm assuming you guys are 12?!? Every missed pass drops two wins off our record, and then we get a TD and we're a BCS team. You over analyze every play and project it throughout the whole season. OSU wasn't predicting 2-10 when they were losing to a MAC today.

Agree....after this half, I wouldn't be suprised to see Michigan as a double digit favorite next week. I can't believe I waited nine months for this. I should have just watched highlight tapes of last year and mowed the lawn.

To the fair weather fans bitching on this thread... Charlie did not fumble on the 2 yard line... Charlie did not hook a field goal way left... Charlie did not drop the snap on a gimmee field goal...
Charlie did not drop a pass that hit the receiver in the chest which led to their score... the players blew these plays... and after all that we are all even... bench players who can't get it done.... why do you think Floyd caught the TD... because #18 can't catch... today we are finding out which players are winners.

The team hasn't looked good, but some of the hysteria in this thread is a little too much. They've left points on the field with dumb mistakes, and that's something that's rectifiable at halftime.
