I have had this kid at the top of my list for about two months now, I really hope he goes to ND but UT and the Gators are going to be almost impossible on this guy.
Marlon Brown's top ten list reads like a who's who of college football and it's no accident. "I care about football history and I care about tradition," Brown said. "I want a school that is known for winning." Besides tradition, Brown says the most important decision factor is going to be the coaches. "I just want to play for great coaches. I don't care about their coaching style. For me..."
Marlon Brown, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound five-star wide receiver from Harding High School in Memphis, Tenn., continues to deny a favorite from among approximately 35 scholarship offers.
"At the beginning of August I'll narrow it down to five or six schools," Brown said. "I don't think I'll commit until Signing Day though. I really want to take my time and get a good feeling for all of these schools."
Although he denies a leader, Brown does have a top 10 list and this is the order in which he stated his choices…USC, UCLA, Stanford, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.
The commitment of Marlon Brown would likely make us the 2nd or 3thd best recruiting class in the country. More importantly, he would increase our nat'l championship hopes exponentially. Go Irish
screw stars, we needed two good kickers. and we need a great wr. so sign him up
He included ND in a top 10 list last week, and Rivals is now reporting that he has a top 6. Anybody know if we're included in that? I would be pleasantly surprised.
No we aren't. He is overrated big-time though so i'm not fretting it.
Not to take anything away from this young man, but his team plays in the weakest classification in the state of Tennessee. Just sayin'
Good point, one reason I can't wait to see how players like Marlon and Cierre Wood fare at the AAA game. People had doubts about Mike Floyd because of the MN competition and he proved himself big time at the game
No big deal losing out on this kid.... i definately want shaq more than this guy, have for some time. Also, i think Tyler Eifert might have the ability to play hybrid TE/Wr type. 09 is really a less talented class than the 08 and 10 classes, and we are in it with alot of the big time player such as jenkins, teo, shaq, lalota, etc, so i really dont think we need to worry. and not to mention we have already signed some big players in Watt, Wood, Banks and others. i think we end up with a smaller class of less than 20, but good players will be what we get.
Bryce is another player i'd like to see against legitimate competition
I think Cierre took a huge step in my book when he outperformed Bryce Brown at the FBU camp a few weeks ago.
Apparently he didn't outperform Bryce Brown judging by the new Rivals 100
also Marlon Brown dropped from his 5-star status, something that was long overdue
