Point taken. For the rest of you, sorry for the inthread hijack! I'm hearing our stance with Shaq is really strong. I know you all hear about USC and UCLA, but there's a lot more to Shaquelle than that. I'm kind-of an unknown in your IE world, but there are some big time recruits who are strongly leaning towards Southbend, and Shaq might be one of them. Perhaps we get 2 more before summer 2-a-days?

Aye, sorry for the hijack folks !

Here's a bit of information, the depth at WR as well as their depth of their current WR commits have been a huge point of concern for Shaq regarding USC. Evans may be wanting to contribute to a team where his unique talents and abilities are needed, such as the Irish. The Notre Dame staff has made it very clear to him that he is a primary target on their WR board. Should the sentiments between Notre Dame and Shaq continue to play out, I would not be at all surprised to see him join the Notre Dame family when he visits this Fall.

I liked how this site used to be for free. Now information is held back for club members only. The problem you run into, is that there are other sites with the same inside information, who don't charge. I have some pretty good sources too, but I won't charge anyone here to hear about rumors and leads. I know I'm going to be blasted for speaking up against this union, but I'll still shop at Wal-Mart. No offense implied, just stating the reason for my year-long defection.

I promise you this. I personally have given info on the VC that has not been shared any where on the net. I have also given our friends Pete S and Mike F leads alot more than you could imagine. Not to mention there are plenty of other posters in the VC that provide great info and often give me things to follow up on.

its to bad that our targeted #1 WR recruit thread has turned into a boring read about the pros and cons of the VC...

Evans would be a great get and would fit in perfectly at ND. WRs - come on down, get in early, before the depth chart becomes like USC's.

ND=NC... why have you gotten personal with your latest post... I told the truth in my post without singling out any one poster... the thread was getting boring.... and another thing, I can afford alot of things and its none of your damm business how I chose to spend my hard earned money... you know nothing about me or my finanicial situation but you stereotype me because I live in Destin Fl. Should I assume you are some guy that lives in a trailer on some backwoods dirt road because you live in Crestview. Off course not, if I did that I would be an ass. I can tell you one thing, you come across this board as a smug guy with a high opinion of himself. The funny thing is that when I see a new post from you I usually read it because you usually have something new and interesting to say. Anyway, even though I do not post alot, I enjoy reading the commentary on this board and am not going anywhere. VC club or not.

Roto - There is nothing personal about it. It was a joke...I thought you would take it as that and nothing more. If you are offended I do apoligize.

On Shaq there is info in the VC that hasn't been on any other board and we need to keep it there for a while.

ND=NC... I accept your apology... I did not realize that you were joking... sometimes people perceive things in different ways... I thought you were insinuating I was cheap... that is why I answered your post... we are good.... go irish!

I hear we're making a strong push for him, both in terms of getting a commitment and getting him on campus.

also, he will now visit for the Purdue game and not Michigan as previously planned. For those who think him pushing back his visit is a bad sign, think again.

His school has a bye-week the week ND plays Purdue. Coming that week will allow him to spend more time at ND than if his team had a game that week.

Wow. idk but i read something on rivals that just struck me as being very odd...... they have an article about him being ready for the season, talking about whom he has narrowed his choices down to, and it said he was going to make his decision but then he talked to notre dames brian polian, who told him he should be patient and take his visits before deciding. am i the only one who finds it very promising that the coach who told him not to commit was one of our coaches, whom he may have possibly been wanting to commit to bc he was tired of the process...... free article the link is below.

You are on to something, IA.

And another great reason to join the Varsity Club

There has been a lot of speculation and off-topic chatter in this thread as of recent, so I thought I would put all of the important stuff that has been said the last few pages into one post. J.Pham, SoCal, IA, and ND=NC are all reputable posters and I am always sure to pay close attention to their tidbits. I am not a VC member so I don't know exactly what is going on, but from the posts quoted above I can tell that we are in good standing with one of the most talented prospects left on our board.

At the very least the above information means the following: the staff is pushing hard for this guy, he is going to visit on a weekend that will allow him to maximize his time on campus, he has a good enough relationship with one of ND's staffmembers (Brian Polian) to confide in him and take advice from him-----GREAT NEWS!!

At the very most the above information means the following: he was fed up with the recruiting process and wanted to end it promptly with an ND commitment but Polian told him that being fed up was not a good reason to end his recruitment (even if it was to ND b/c he would likely not be firm in this decision and our staff wants solid commitments)----FANTASTIC NEWS!! (but purely speculation on my part)

Oh yeah, and the ability to bend spoons with ur mind.... i seen a thing about that, it was freaking hilarious. The people were supposed to bend it with their minds, then most of them got mad and just started bending the spoons with their hands. Ha And then they thought they did it with their mental abilities after.

Have you heard the interview done with Rivals? I don't know how much it means but he had some good things to say about ND. Only one official visit scheduled as of right now.....hmmm! It might be ND and USC battling off the field....

I like the fact that he mentioned ND first when asked which schools he was considering.

Seems to be a good, bright, kid too

He was very strong about UCLA and Notre Dame, I believe its a battle between the both, with us winning out to be honest.

SC has 3 WR commits and 3 athletes that all could play WR. Not to mention Marlon Brown really likes them. I don't think Shaq will go there. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. But I highly doubt this one.

i think WWB is right on with this guy..... i have a good vibe that this kid likes ND alot. Hopefully its the Mike Floyd scheme, only one official scheduled, with notre dame being that one, doesnt want to go public yet, and then bam! In ur face flordia usc ohio state etc etc. He commits on his official. God i would love that.

The only problem with that is all the people thought floyd was a lock for ND but he admitted after he commited that for a long time over the summer OSU was his #1 team. so lets hope its the same result as floyd but not the same scenario
