Good luck to the ones who chose UM, I'll be much more happy with whoever we end up with. I would like to land Patrick Ward, and Nixon. I know that they're both probably long shots at this point. I know if we had offered Ward some time ago, we might have his commitment right now. Oh well, I hope he ends up Irish, if not, good luck then.

bookend tackles are a need here. i hope we get two of these guys as well. or next years recruiting is going to have to be focused on that position first i think

DickRod has one thing going for him up there in that b!tch that is Ann Arbor and that is he can offer playing time. He can tell a kid that "you are my kind of player and you are the type of player this offense needs. With you we can do great things once we get these other guys out of the way." I would believe that would go along way with some 17 and 18 year olds. It strokes their ego and makes them feel wanted and they believe him with his early playing time pitch. And i read this on SI's truth and rumors about him:

Finally, somebody at Michigan was embarrassed enough to settle West Virginia's lawsuit. Not Rich Rodriguez. He is way too bullheaded. It took Mary Sue Coleman, the school president, to end this mess. Coleman was on the verge of being deposed, and she obviously didn't want to be dragged into it. Not so coincidentally, Rodriguez finally settled. We now know Rodriguez to be a serial job-shopper. His agent, Mike Brown, had pitched Rodriguez's services to Alabama, Arkansas and Louisiana State in recent years before pursuing Michigan. We now know Rodriguez doesn't believe in contracts. He signed an amended contract with West Virginia just four months before he left. He then claimed that the signed contract was not as important as a verbal agreement that preceded it -- a laughable legal argument. Rodriguez said in December that he was battling the buyout because "we have to do what we feel is right." He meant right for him, not the school.

I really cant see why people like this guy, hes a jackass.

While I will agree that we need a couple of OT in this class, I won't go so far as to say we're in dire need of them. If you look at the next class, we're in pretty good with Sentreal Henderson and Christian Lombard, who have both been pretty highly ranked in the recruiting world already. I wouldn't complain if we landed Ward, and say a Xavier Nixon, but to me, it's not going to be the end of the world. Matt Romine will, in my opinion be starting at LT by the 2nd or 3rd game of the season if he doesn't get the starting nod before that. Paul Duncan just hasn't gotten the job done the last few years. Throw into that mix Taylor Dever, who, with a few years to grow and understand the college game speed and systems thrown at him, will be a starter.

P. Ward should be, must be, and will be a Domer. What will be will be....or something like that. If he considers that which is best for him and refuses to beleive all the bull crap being imposed on him, he will choose ND.

Narrowed his list to seven schools. 99% sure we are on the list....was talking about some schools he has been offered by on irisheyes, we were the only one that he said anything about having it all and said he was very excited when he got offered by us. Has a very impressive highlight film on rivals, seems to move his feet very very well for a big man. then again, it is a highlight film, so i guess they dont put many lowlights on those. Still really want this guy, im greedy when it comes to good lineman. And he reports a 4.8 GPA and a 35 on the ACT....better than both Trevor robinson last year and aaron nagel the previous year, who had the best scores in their classes respectively. Got to love our genius athletes.

Well his high school, Providence Catholic, was home to Mark Ruettiger, a 4 time state wrestling champ. And it was also home to Tim Ruettiger, a Hall of Fame Wrestling Coach and current supporter. Yes, these are Rudy's brothers. (I think ND may have a shot at this kid.)
