I went to see Tom Petty last night. Steve Winwood opened for him but joined Petty half way through the show.

Some of my son's friends were there. They weren't even born when Damn the Torpedoes came out but they loved the show.

And if you have never seen Winwood live, do it quick. One of the best live performers you will ever see.

They played together on Gimme Some Lovin and the place turned into Animal House :bbanana:

I honestly didn't know Winwood was still performing... the guy is right up there with Van Morrison for best male voice in my opinon

Acamp, I think he just turned 60 but he started performing when he was 15 so it seems like he has been around forever. I think his voice is one of the most hauntingly beautiful male vocals ever. He has gotten better with age and this tour is excellent if it comes to your area.

He sang Can't Find My Way Back Home last night and it was perfect. The really old stuff for the fetuses here:) like Dear Mr. Fantasy and Low Spark of High Heel Boys from Traffic are great tunes in concert also.
