“I knew they were interested in me,” said Muldoon. “They’ve come to my school a couple of times actually. They haven’t talked to me in a while now, so I was a little surprised. It came out of the blue, because I haven’t talked to them for a bit.”

Muldoon welcomed the Notre Dame offer with obvious excitement.

“It was big for me, it’s a pretty hard school to get offered from,” Muldoon stated. “I was honored that they offered me.”

Muldoon plans to visit Notre Dame soon. When he does he has a very specific list of things for which he’s looking.

“I’m going to take a visit up there definitely, probably in the summer,” said Muldoon. “Academics, speed, whether or not the coaches will be around for a while, and what’s happening with the team,” said Muldoon of those factors that will influence his decision.

well we r covered with all of the questions he had in the interview. hopefully he gives us a hard look and likes what he sees

Let's hope a recent ND offer is enough to get this Ohio recruit to look ND's way.

the other main competitor appears to be tUOSU, Muldoon's HSU. But OSU has been filling it's 2009 rather quickly.

I'm glad you mentioned it marine, because there is some info out there that Muldoon is scheduling a ND visit.

good. i have read on other boards that osu fans are saying hes a big lean for the home state

that may be true. but the way OSU's class is filling up (or maybe has already filled up) there may not be any space left for him, no matter how much of a lean he is/was.

SoCal, according to the scout site for osu, they have 1 DE and 1 DT committed. they do have 3 other DEs offered, so there might be some race to get the slot, but 1 is for the #2 DE- Drummond (5*), all 3 others are similar to the 4* Muldoon. Who knows how this falls out?

By quick, I mean that he set it up very quickly. It just came out today or yesterday.

How long he plans on being on campus, I don't know.

That's OK SoCal, I don't think it really matters how long he is there. I hope CW and CB can really "wow" him on his visit.

he may want to get another look at us before he makes a decision. thats good that he still is torn with us in it. at least he is coming here again. i hope they give him the full press and make him realize this is the best place for him to be

LOL, it probably ended an hour or two ago.

I can tell you one very surprising piece of information that should work in ND's favor.

Originally, Weis was not scheduled to be on campus. Muldoon only scheduled his visit this week, so there was not much CW could do to change his plans.

Apparently though, Weis takes recruiting so seriously that he changed hs itinerary to be back on campus during Muldoon's visit. Something that hopefully makes a big impression on Muldoon and shows him how much Weis cares about ND and how much they want him as a 2009 recruit.

Charlie does seem to be doing alot to help these kds relize that ND is a special place and that this football team is a great team to be apart of
