i thought i had heard he had a limited time before we offered the other guy. rumor being the other guy is gonna commit on the spot it seemed like a bit of a deadline. didnt mean to get people all messed up. my bad. i must have been under a different train of thought. as usual.

no, that was correct. at least based on what we knew around the time of Hopkins' visit. but it appears that may have changed and the time for Tausch's offer to go out got pushed back.

if that is true, that Tausch's offer goes out monday, and if it is also true that he would accept on the spot (or within a day or so), then yes, Hopkins has an implied in fact deadline by virtue of the possibility of the spot being taken before he makes his decision.

This kid has a leg! (he has two actually)

He reportedlu kicked a 75-yd teed up field goal. He can kick 65 yards without a tee.

His longest in game was 48yards. He also made 37 out of 37 PATs last year.

Not only does he have a leg he has a brain (4.25 GPA).

I would prefer Hopkins to be the one we end up getting to commit to the slot, but worst case scenario is that Hopkins decides to wait and Tausch jumps first. Not a bad deal= #2 kicker in the Nation.
