It's a tough job being a kicker. More times than not the game will hinge on them. But I don't think alot of people realize how hard it is going from kicking in high school to college, and I'm talking all levels of college. The first thing they have to do is loose the kicking block. The kicking block is a major help to them in high school, and it takes awhile to get used to not using one while kicking, of course this only refers to field goals, but still.

i really did go. the wife and i went and picked it up last night. it was magical

but a kicker is a necessity for a winning team. you cant miss extra points or field goal inside 35 yards

I think we will be pretty happy w the 2 guys we are looking for in the kicking department- #s 1 & 2 nationally, I read. It changes your play calling completely when you are forced to forego any attempts at FGs until you are inside 35 yds. And the defense can change their calls, too.

Last season, our punter was on the field after every 3 offensive plays, so it can be hugely important. I hope not, but who knows.!

from what i have read and saw. turk was the #1 punter in the country, and we are waitning for the other number 1 kicker to decide. if not we are going to offer the number 2 and it is said he will commit as soon as we offer him. so ive heard
