7-5 possibly 8-4- this season is the stepping stone for '09

yeah, what we need to look for is a way to better the inexperienced athletes with this fairly easy schedule. Gain the confidence needed for a NC team in the next few years. The talent is there. It just needs to be developed. We need to go out and win a bowl! break the streak and show to the 2010 recruits that ND is up and coming. Keep the talent train rolling. This year will be important for the coaches to find where they belong in the grand scheme of things. CW is stepping back from play calling and Haywood is stepping into a new place. He needs to find his style and edge.

This year is definitely the transition year where we are transitioning from a run of the mill team to a NC contender. Things are looking up. I want over 8 wins, but can see as many as 11 possible, depending on how much the team has matured. It will be a season to watch closely. I think as we win we will solidify some more top recruits also.

11-1 at best,,,10-2 at worst. You read it here first. USC and NC to test us hard.

I see 8 -4, or 7-5, as I believe we will lose some games we should win as we relearn how to win, but it just sets us up for 2 monster years in 09 & 10

i agree with ya grizz, dont see 10 or 11 wins. team is just too young and inexperiencced. am i hoing for it and rooting for every game? hell yeah but i am expecting a 7 or 8 win season. with alot of growth and maturity by the end of it. i see us playing better as the season goes along. and playing well in a bowl. i want to break that bowl streak

I think everyone pretty much agrees on this thread. 7 to 8 wins at the very least. We all think the team is going to mature and get the experience they need to become legitimate contenders for the next couple of seasons. we have some really optimistic forecasts, and we all all rooting for, but not counting on those outcomes. And obviously, we need to break the bowl streak.

Does that about sum it up?
