I just bought my first expensive bottle of liquor today (Belvedere) and was wondering what my fellow Irish fans like 2 drink? Any suggestions? I'm more of a beer man myself but I do buy the occasional bottle when I have ppl over...I hope this Belvedere is good, I threw down 35 for it! I'll give u an update lata 2nite...hah.

Kentucky straight bourbon and ginger ale with a twist of lime. I think I'll mix one up...
A toast... for a great year of ND football in 2008... bottoms up!

Belvedere isn't bad, maybe overpriced, especially if you paid $35!!! (where did you get it?). Ciroc is a French vodka distilled from grapes. Very smooth. If you liked Patron Silver, try Don Julio or Tezon. As far as Irish, I like Jameson 12yr, but the best I've had is Bushmills 21yr. It's WAY out of my normal budget
though. I like to try different single malts, but I usually drink rum and diet cola. Captain Morgan, Sailor Jerry, or Myers Platinum are good for everyday (heh) drinking. Seriously though, $35 for a 750 Belvedere is pretty bad, I'm sure I can get it for half that!!! (and legally)

My girl doesn't drink often but when she does she like Patron... I KNOW that is expensive... I am not much on stiff drinks... I like beer... but I will have a Margarita... though I'm not mixing Patron for the ammount of money it costs...

Thanks Junky! I always knew I could count on you! Ha.. I almost got Ciroc, I've had samples of it but never a whole bottle it is really good. Never had Sailor Jerry. Hah I know I overpaid for it! It was like 31 with tax to be more precise! I might as well have gotten Grey Goose..but Belvedere is really good...been havin screwdrivers all night veryyyy good..

I work for the distributor of many of the brands listed in this thread, if you want to know where the deals are, I might be able to help!

A patron margarita is a waste of good tequila!!

yeah that's what I figured... so Ive never had Patron... but Margaritas are good stuff, also like cape cods and gin and tonics with a lime... but that's about it for me and liquor... but I do consider myself a beer connoisseur, in that I am well acquainted and knowledgable... ;)

Well lets see I'd love some patron on sale and Jameson...a long with Grey Goose would be nice! I'd like a variety of them! I'm with ya ACamp, I've been trying to try as many different beers as possible but my fav right now has got to be Goose Islands Pale Ale on tap in Chicago. SOoooo good. And yes the Belvedere has me feeling goooooood!

Johnny Walker black on the rocks.

Try Johnny Green...it's one of the best blendeds I ever saw... It's made from only 15 Single Malts...I bet you will like it. It's a bit peatier, but don't let that scare ya. ;)

Crown and Ice is great. For a Vodka you cannot go wrong with Grey Goose. If you are going to drink Tequilla you have to go with Patron but I am getting old so turning into more of a Red Wine kind of guy. This is about liquor so I will not even get started on beers.

Schenley OFC. Aged longer than CC or VO, is smoother and costs less. Not always easy to find, however.

My father taught me to drink Old Bushmills Irish Whiskey. Now I drink it , albeit rarely, (as I am mostly a beer drinker) on the rocks. Nice and smooth.
