Fox and his family were very excited to receive the ND offer. Fox has a cousin who went to ND and went on to become a successfull lawyer. Two current ND players came from Fox's HS (John Ryan and Robbie Parris).

Fox was in the process of setting up a trip to one ND's summer camps in hopes of earning an offer when he got the call. He still plans on going to the camp.

This could be the move we really needed to get things moving one way or another among the LBs- got to get Barrett, Calabrese, Te'o or Jenkins to know there are only a certain amount of slots, and if they don't want to come here, others will and they can't hold us ransom.

Yeah, I get that feeling. I think our window shut on him- either an early commit or not one. Who knows if Dayne has any coat tails? Hope he does.

Yeah, it's so terrible with ND taking away all the Ohio talent. But with Klien, Whiting and Bell, not to mention Homan and Boren, something tells me we'll manage. :)

This kid is a FOOTBALL PLAYER! I have always loved the recruits without the "raw skills" that slip under some schools radar. Fox has a great motor, a nose for the football, solid tackling skills and exceptional athletic ability. The film shows that he has good football speed and sense. He simply makes big plays. If this is our "2nd choice" at OLB, we will do just fine if we get him.

he seems to do wellin coverage and hold his assignments in zone too. may over persue on the run but has the athletic ability and speed to make up for it. i hope he signs on. him on the outside and carlo punishing people up the gut. woohoo were building a dynasty here fellas

not quite fast enough for a 4-3 OLB, and not quite big enough for a 4-3 DE= perfect "tweener" 3-4 outside linebacker.

Been hearing he is Irish, its just a matter of time. I really like this pickup..For one, he has talent, and a nose for the ball I like to call it. And two, it allows us to be patient with Te'o and Jenkins and really just focus on those two guys and hopefully land 1 of them..This could be another great haul at LB for the Irish.

yeah it would be if we could land him then concentrate on teo and jenkins. carlo is a monster up the middle. i dont care what people say about him. this kid just plays all out every down. rb's will not want to run up the middle on him. and with fox roaming the outside or rushing on passing downs it could get nasty. to get teo or jenkins would solidify our lb corps for years to come.
