ND gets HUGE win in Frozen Four tonight!

Wow! SEVEN (count em, 7) goals tonight in the Frozen Four tourney for ND as they put a hurtin' on the Wildcats of New Hampshire (the #1 seed in their region), 7-3.

Now we wait for Mich St and Colorado to beat the hell out of each other starting in about 45 minutes before we know who we'll play tomorrow nigh (10PM, most likely viewable on DirecTV if you have the Regional Sports Networks package).

Awesome, just awesome....this team has REALLY struggled to score (as evidenced most recently in the loss to Miami OH in the CCHA semi-final and then to Northern Mich in the CCHA 3rd place game).

Looking ahead, if ND wins their next game, the Skunkbears are lurking in the opposite region. Clarkson with a mild upset of St. Cloud State, so they'll play the winner of Michigan/Niagara (UM leading 2-0 after 2 periods).

You are correct on both accounts. Looks like we'll have to go through Michigan to get to the final.

Michigan is gonna be a tough game. We lost 3-2 at Ann Arbour and the got waxed the next night at The Joe, something like 5-1 (tight at first, then the skunkbears blew it open). BUT...if we can beat Jeff Lerg (MSU's goalie), we should be able to score on UM.
