Oh yeah, there's so much more interesting items to follow with TRob. Although I hear he is making quite a name for himself at the AA practices.

It's just like a new job, it'll probably take several months to readjust and get in a fimiliar routine. Plus you have to remember he's going through all this away from his family and girlfriend.

Every freshman goes through a little homesickness. Once spring practice starts, he'll probably be too busy to be homesick. I'm sure he'll be just fine.

Someone get Trev's girlfriend up to ND. Looking at his facebook profile is depressing. I feel bad, but just can't picture a guy 6'5'' 310 pounds being this homesick.

About Me: I am a mid-year enrolee at Notre Dame and I play football. i graduated high school early to come here which was a questionable decision at best. I play offensive line, guard. I have workouts at 6am but thats alright. all i do is sleep and look forward to going home.

Everyone goes through it.......Mallet was just as bad when he got to Michigan and then he learned to love it. He transferred for other reasons so don't say that's why.

Well when I was in the army I went through basic trainning in Fort Benning Georgia and I was homesick as hell. I know the army is a bit different but its kinda the same thing. Ya just have to stick with it and keep your mind occupied. He will be fine.

This sounds like a kid that was never really committed on going to ND, rather was pushed by his parents. I hope it turns around for him, and someone please send his girlfriend to campus!

Huge changes like that can really take some getting used to. I'm sure it sucks right now for him but the real world has a lot of that so this will just help him later down the road. He just needs to make some really close friends and everything will eventually be alright.

I'm in Denver right now... if he wants I can swing by Nebraska and pick up his girl and drive her back and fourth every other weekend.... as long as he promises to knock some d-linemen on the ground this upcoming season

im sure he will be fine once the rest of the freshman arrive..
first of all, enrolling mid-year is definitely going to be harder to find stuff to do because the groups at college have already been made..

also, all of his friends are still at high school.. and probably telling him about the time he is missing..
he also had a GF too didnt he? if so, im sure he is missing her and fighting with her..

i went to ND over the summer for 3 weeks, and at first i didnt like it either because day 1 my gf and I got in a fight, so now i had to worry about what she would be doing the 3 weeks I was gone, and i wasnt in the mood to meet anyone..
but then i made friends, and i was fine.. had the best 3 weeks of my life

Good points Gipper. You are always the voice of reason. Go Irish!
