When the biggest problem is what appears to others, then worry about it.
This is like trying to be a conservative and get the liberal press to like you. Ain't gonna happen.
Don't waste your time trying to please people who already hate you and are just looking for extra reasons to continue hating you.

A coaches son wearing a headset doesn't make him a teenage coach or a coach of any kind.

Why does he need it? It seems like it would be a distraction from the player's point of view. And if he is going to look like a coach, at least give him a crack at Latina's job!!

Junkhead you and I are not going to agree on this subject. We can keep posting our opinions and have fun with it and drive everyone else crazy if you like. What say you ?

 My final thought on the subject. I think it was weird (for me) since the team seemed in such disarray. It didn't help. I also understand that CW is the coach and he can probably give anyone he wants a headset. I would have thought it was weird had anyone besides a coach or player had one. Nothing at all against Jr.

Maybe he aspires to be a coach one day, and he's learning the job. You ever see all the necks at NASCAR races wearing them? For what purpose? Who cares. Why does there need to be a reason for everything.

I can't even think of a retort for that bit o' wisdom. Seriously, rednecks at a trashcar race listening to the pit frequencies has pretty much nothing to do with this.

You guys are right. I went back and re-calculated what our record would have been if Jr wasn't wearing headphones. Great!! We would have been 8-4!! And we won our bowl game!! Thanks Charlie Jr for not wearing your headphones!!

Again, why are we so facinated with this little boy again? :jerkit:

I'm NOT. It just seems that CW Sr. may be a little too into the whole thing. He has a big job to do next year. The appearance of ND football games being treated as a father-son outing is not a good idea. IF ND goes 10-2 and wins a bowl game, all well and good. Coming off 3-9, it's time to not only get down to business but to look that way, too. This isn't about the teen age kid. It's about his father knowing how to project seriousness of purpose.

I can see Chuck jr. being a big tool when he gets older after he inherets his dad's blunt arrogance.

I love C-Dub, but I can agree that a 7-win season or worse next year and this will reek of Dusty Baker letting his 18-month old be a bat boy and get run over by baseball players sliding into home.
