A report on espn.com indicates Rashard Mendenhall will be declaring for the NFL Draft this week. I have to believe that will put a serious dent on that teams ability to compete for a Big Ten title in 2008!

that hurts them a lot. I had them finishing in the top 10 for next year. Not anymore.

And you have to ask yourself why NFL teams spend big big money on RBs. The Colts look like geniuses after kicking Edgerrin to the curb, and look at the backs they have simply plugged into the system. Same with Denver etc.
I'm happy that Ryan Grant was able to have a great year, but I think the RB position can really be filled by anyone at anytime, if the obvious is true. That being a great O-Line.

absolutely, and Marshal Faulk before that. Denver just plugs in whoever they have behind that offensive line. That's the key. You need a big punishing offensive line and then you can do what you want. If you want to pound, you get a big back in there. Want to change the pace up, throw an athletic guy out there.

Maybe the Texans were right passing on Reggie Bush. Only thing is, they could have traded that #1 and gotten Mario Williams AND another pick/player.

And the funny thing is, I figured Bush would be the star, and Lendale White would fade into obscurity. Appears to be the other way around.
