Daniel also plays CB and he was reportedly one of the top performers of the National Underclassmen Combine.

Hey, just wanted to let everybody know how Daniel did in the 55 meter dash in his first indoor meet of the season, he placed first with a time of 6.53 out of a field of about 120 at the Western Ohio track Officials High School Indoor Track & Field Elite Meet at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

Certainly one to keep an eye on. His size may be a limiting factor in how far he goes in the recruiting process at all schools.

The 4.37 was run on feild turf, which is estimated .1-.15 seconds slower than a normal track

Are you saying that he would run a sub 4.3 on a normal track? That doesn't make sense. I think you actually run faster on field turf than normal track.

Keep in mind how young he is. I grew a little over half a foot during my So and Jr. years of high school.

Gosh,
thanks for making that point, Daniel was a freshman in high school and had just turned 15 when those numbers were taken, he's already 5"11'' 170, pretty typical for a DI CB with exceptional speed and athleticism, I seem to remember a kid out of a prominent high school in Cleveland who was the No. 1 CB in the country who was 5'11'' 168 his senior year.

Thanks for the update. So is he concentrating on CB now rather than WR? When I had looked at his profile on Rivals they listed him as a WR.

Gosh,
I listed him as an athlete for this years combine, and he would definately play CB if the Irish said that's what they were interested in him playing.

I know they have some camps coming up at the end of June, but I don't know whether it is Junior or Senior, or how you can contact someone to get invited. I will ask around and see if someone else has more info.

Also, I imagine Daniel's ht/wt stats have changed since we opened this thread. Let us know and we will update.

I'll give you his numbers from camp tomorrow, and just wanted to let everyone know daniel made the dyestat elite 150 in the 55 meter dash, one of only 11 sophomores in the country, all no BS times, only FAT(fully automated timing) times.

Lombardo, it is great having you on the site- so we can watch from the start the development of a recruit and hopefully a '10 ND man. Good luck to you both throughout the process.

No not really, his bench max is 235 and his squat is 400, definately getting stronger, he was 5'10'' 165 at Ohio States Senior Day. He had a very good day, hooked up with a good QB and couldn't be stopped, had one of the coaches tell him he'd never seen a kid his age able to change speed in the middle of a route the way he can, he's currently ranked 146 in the country at WR, but I think that will change once we can get some film out from the upcoming season.
