To be fair, they had already started to get soft before he got there. But, if they want to blame it all on him, let's not stand in their way.
Yeah I'm very surprised by some of their post-ND comments. Their program has been soft since Carroll left. I always figured that's how those bandwagon fans wanted their team to play LOL

I don't have access, but the LA Times published an article this past week about Lincoln Riley publicly mulling early retirement/an easier lifestyle (NFL). I don't think he's going to be at USC that long. If you ask a lot of their fans, sounds like they're ok with that- a lot of people hate how soft the program is
I’d be happy to have him as our OC. Maybe he could enjoy the early retirement south bend lifestyle?

2nd half started with 2, 3 an outs right?
It did, but definitely not due to Parker. 1st play of the half was a great play call amd Hartman somehow didnt see Staes wide ipen right in front of him. Nobody within 8-10 yards of him. 3rd down that same drive Hartman had Staes for a 1st down his throw sailed.

2nd drive on 3rd down Hartman had the shallow crosser for a first down but chose to go too late to Ford out in the flat.

Sometimes the players really do need to execute. The playcalling wasnt amazing but it was much better tonight. They also ran the ball from under center much more.

He is the epitome of a chicken shit. Had the rule over the Big 12 so as was well, until they announced for the SEC. Quickly realized that he would get creamed playing big boy football so he bolts to the rubbers. Now, after the rubbers announced a move to the Big 10, 16 or 20...whatever it is, he realized that he won't be king ding a ling there either

To quote a certain purple faced slob now down in Baton Rouge, “winning is hard”. There are ups and downs throughout the season and some inexplicable performances. Freeman and our roster are only going to get better. This game was a huge gut check and this team was ready despite all the noise. MF in my opinion is going to be a great coach. The future is bright for the program. Now let’s go win out.

Photos / Videos of all the guys happy is just awesome. This last week has been the worst is recent memory as far as program vibes.
Freeman said he challenged his coaching staff to not focus on what happened at Louisville but why it happened. They had "difficult conversations," reevaluated what they were doing in practice and ultimately simplified their approach to eliminate confusion.

Imagine it was a pretty tough week for parker then if he was tasked with trying to simplify what hes doing on offense. They must have spent the week drawing plays in the mud.

Gotta shout out the insane effort by Bryce McFerson on the long Branch punt return. Saved a TD and shaved a few minutes off the clock.
Although he needs to quit kicking line drives (unless he’s kicking 60 yards). He needs some hang time.
Also huge: turning those 3 INTS into TDs, not just FGs. You really have to make them pay for turning it over and fortunately ND did.
Love to see CW running for his life all night. The D line caused all the interceptions.

Don't let me stop you! Just replying to folks who are suggesting Parker didn't shit the bed despite the evidence. Test of the team balled tho!

This USC D sucks and they held our O in check. Without the fantastic D performance, we get rolled.

To begin the second half, I’d love to see the flow had Sam hit Staes on that play. Yes, GP struggles, but some things could’ve been different with some better throws and decisions. Hoping for bye week healing and a deep dive into how to keep improving and pusking forward offensively.
That played felt like Parker deigned and coached it to go to Evans instead of option 1 2 3 with this play… felt so forced, obviously Sam has to own some of that with staes so obviously wide open infront of him

I don't think Tyree is getting enough love... 355 yards on only 16 catches at a new position?!
He's getting fair treatment IMO. He's been poor at punt returning (decisions and athletically), and has killed huge drives and possibly the game vs Louisville with dropped TD. I still haven't seen him break a tackle in 4 years.

He's on track for 24 catches and 600 yards and that's with a good QB and no other WRs taking yards away from him
Hes ok.

Despite his weaknesses, thank God for Tyree. Our other WRs have been sidelined with injury or ail from brick hands

Never really was a tackle breaking guy though. He was always a speed back and that speed is why he can turn those screens/slants into 40 yard tds

True but he goes down on first contact regardless if it’s a tackle

Hey just curious. Did someone slip something in my beer last night or was someone on here really calling for BenMo to be benched during the game? I feel like that must’ve been a hallucination.
he had 3-4 massive penalties on him that normally would cost you a game vs a good team … after what happened with Marist vs Louisville , you’d hope for some accountability .. they weren’t being aggressive penalties, they were very undisciplined

Freeman and staff need to at some point hold players accountable. The 3 extra suicide sprints in practice aren’t working

Hartman with 126 yards and most of them to Tyree still confuses the hell out of me. This USC D is weak, I'm still waiting for that balled out game....is it Hartman or Porker??
