of course if OSU beats LSU they would be the best team, but i dont think OSU has a chance v.s SEC speed. just like last year i was going for OSU last year, and we all seen how that played out. now as fas as belonging in that game I am not so sure about that. but this is the system CFB has and we have to endure it. you could of made a case for about 3-4 team in that game so i think something needs to be done to fix the system to get the right team in that game.(playoff)!!!

Are you really comparing USC's OOC schedule and OSU's? USC ALWAYS schedules big. This year they played Nebvraska and Notre Dame OOC. Those games usually aren't cupcakes like they were this season.

When was the last time any of OSU's OOC teams were any good?

Um, they just finished a home and home with Texas, in case you just started watching CFB this year. Next year, they start a home and home with USC. After that, home and home with Miami, then home and home with Cal. THIS year's OOC schedule was bad, no doubt about it. But let's not try to create the appearance that tOSU never schedules any good OOC games.

USC is so tough, they schedule themselves!!!

;)

Your post is dead on. tOSU was not trying to avoid anyone this year...sometimes schedules fall apart. Our 2005 schedule was pretty bad.

I had this conversation with my Dad (a big tOSU fan) over Thanksgiving. Everyone who knows anything about the Buckeyes knows that tOSU scheduled Youngstown State because it was a way for Tressel to give his former school a HUGE payday, and maybe give them a boost in their Division. My point to my dad was that I have no problem with that, but this year was not the year to do it. If they had done it last year, then when people complained about it, they could have said, "Well, we scheduled Texas with our other OOC game." In truth, the Big Ten schools, individually, only have control over two of their OOC games, for the duration of the Big Ten - MAC contract. The Big Ten Conference and the MAC signed an agreement to play each other for, I think, ten years. The Conference Offices are scheduling those games, not the individual schools. So, if the Conference Office sends down a schedule with two MAC teams on it, then you (as an individual school) only have two games that you can actually control.

next year's schedule for ND is bad.

Yes but if we back into the title game it'll be fair and right... the tOSU fans will be here in droves bashing us despite what they did this year... because cfb fnas are all for the most part complete hypocrites...

GO IRISH!!! Backin in in 08!!!
