That is great news. Usually you don't ask the question, unless you are ready to commit.
not saying he wont commit but sabino wanted t know if he coukd be an EE before he commited, so its not always that way

Yeah but TR has been to ND's campus around 6-8 times now, and this allows him to get away Nebraska early. If you remember AA came to ND because he was allowed EE. If he hadn't been then he would have ended up at UF.

Thats a shame that the kid has to get out of dodge before he announces which school he is going to.

With the way the Neb. fans have been acting this season, his family may have to get out of dodge before he announces. Who knows he might not announce, just enroll as an EE at N.D. and when signing day rolls around show up on Lincoln t.v. from his N.D. room letting them know he's all Irish. :bbanana:

Tom Osborn the legendary Nebraska coach and current interm coach paid a visit to Robinson. He must have been a pretty good recruiter in his day.

Nothing good can come from that. Hopefully it is too little too late. That man knows how to run a program but unless he can turn the clock back to 1994 they are going to be in trouble.

Don't flip out guys.....how would you feel if the fill-in AD and now fill-in head coach came to visit you? I would be are you serious....this is the best that you can do to retain my commitment!!! What a joke!!! The guy maybe be a legend in Nebraska, but think in these terms. It would be like Lou going into a recruits home and selling ND, eventhough he won't be the coach! At first glance that's awesome, but when it comes down to it...Osbourne won't there to coach Big Trev!!! Have no fear....Trev is Irish!!! Bank on it!!!

unless he show TRob the signed contract of the new coach (impressive name too), that all the recruits who already jumped ship are back on board, and all the 5-stars are leaving every other program and commiting to NU, i don't think this visit is going to dramatically change things.

I am not saying I am overly concerned but we are talking about the most famous man in Nebraska history. As in the State not just school. It would be like if you were a Texas recruit and W walked into your house. If he did not commit to them on the spot then he should be Irish.

If Trev was so enamoured with the history of Nebraska football, we wouldn't be having this conversation. He would still be commited to the school, even for the sake of bringing it back to a competitive level.

I see it as a move of despiration. Besides, think how bad Osborne would look if he lost the best recruit in the state to ND, and didn't even visit him.

You don't think that would work? I've heard stories of Lou bumping into other sports recruits while at ND and before they could leave he had them and their parents sold on ND.

To clear up any confusion, yes Tom Osborne did visit TR yesterday. Osborne not only visited TR's school during the day, but he also had an in home visit with him last night. Of course all the Nebrska fans think that this will change everything with TR and who knows, it might because I'm sure he was very impressed and excited but let's just all hope that our staff continues to recruit him hard, which I'm sure they will, and that TR can hold off the pressure for another month.

Sources are reporting that Bo Pelini is going to named Nebraska's HC, so I don't know how thats going to effect the recruitment of TRob but either way it should be over soon I would think.

If one visit by Osborne could get him to go back to Neb. then he was never 100% irish anyway. IMHO

It was two, and if the officially hire Pelini (sp?) before he commits then they are allowed another in home visit because it's a different head coach. But I get what you're saying.

Trev doesn't have to answer the door, right? These coaches aren't just showing up unannounced, they are making appointments with Trev. The fact that he's allowing them to come visit tells me that he doesn't have the Huskers out of his system. It also tells me he IS NOT the silent verbal some have been reporting.

I think you're wrong there, I've heard too many facts and stories that all line up from quite a few different places to believe other wise, but that's not saying things can't change.

Remember, though, that if he thinks he will face home state pressure for decommitting, that he may not want to tell Osborne "no thank you", what would that signal? He could just be delaying his public announcement to avoid that pressure.

If Osborne could walk into anywhere in Nebraska and get the kid to commit why doesn't NU have him do that. No i think he's just hoping to sway Robinson brecause he knows that NU's losing

Isn't it possible that he's just a respectful young man who is showing the proper respect to a legendary coach from his home state? If I were him, out of pure respect, I'd let him come visit. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm serious about it, though.
