It is a pretty big game, and it least one of those teams will lose (prolly UM).

Since OSU lost and won't be playing for the NC, I don't care anymore. Only reason I wooda wanted OSU to win was so they go undefeated, go to the NC and beat an SEC team. Just a pipe dream now though.

I actually think Michigan will win. They have a better offense than OSU, and they are playing at home. I know it sounds strange for an ND fan, but I typically pull for Michigan to win this game. And if you were in attendance at the 1995 game between ND and OSU in Columbus, you would know why.

that was my dream too (OSU beat an SEC team) but as usual, Ohio State manages to piss me off.

so now, i hope everyone above West Virginia loses except LSU and then i would want them to beat LSU in the NC game. That would be a bigger embarrassment then getting beat by a Big Ten team

I went to the Sugar Bowl here in Atlanta when WVU beat Georgia. I didn't realize I even knew the words to Country Roads until after that game :)

All spring every so often i would yell FAKE PUNT around the UGA neighbors:) they could not believe they lost to a Big East team

My worst-case scenario: Pinhead Hart guarantees another UM win - and gets it - and the Irish lose to Duke.

Does anybody else think that this is considered the greatest rivalry of all time only because Bo and Woody were absolute jerks and hated each other? I think if ND and USC had coaches that were jerks in years past that they'd have the greatest rivalry of all time...

Michigan vs. Ohio State it college footballs best rivalry PERIOD! Nothing else compares. I know it sounds crazy coming from an Irish fan but its the truth. I dont even think the Notre Dame vs. Usc is even a "BIG" rivalry anymore considering we are the Trojans bitches and they teach us how football is REALLY played. So I would say the ND vs Usc "Rivalry" isnt even in my top 15 anymore.

It started with the border dispute that embittered people on both sides. During the first matchup between the two sides (1897), scUM won 34-0. All the points were scored in the first quarter, and during the second half, scUM punted the ball on first down (there were only 3 downs back then). The then-minnows OSU played the then-powerhouse scUM to a scoreless draw in 1900. After that, scUM whipped OSU every year they played until Chic Harley's days. It goes back to more than Bo and Woody. They simply embittered the rivalry.

I LOVE this rivalry...it's my favorite in college football. I love OSU and hate UM, so I think you can guess who I'm rooting for.

is it possible for both teams to lose? I was high on osu all year and still am, but I think michigan can pull the upset.

and oh yeah, I'm gonna watch... atleast the second half... as long as it doesnt interfere with notre dame... or any other good games for that matter... and as long as it's still close... and i think those are my only stipulations. wait one more, and as long as it isnt too late or too early in the day.

I absolutely loathe Ohio State. Probably more than USC. I hate their fans and I hate that they go around calling themselves "THE" Ohio State every chance they get. Their mascot is the gayest thing on the history of the planet.

I hate Michigan too, but not as much as OSU. And one thing that would absolutely kill OSU fans is losing this game to Michigan. They've already fallen to 7th on the polls. A loss to Michigan would probably knock them out of the top 15, maybe the top twenty.

So on top of losing to Michigan, they would also further damage their bowl match-up. They would go from being on top of the world one week to being out of the hunt completely in the span of two weeks. It would be fantastic.

Also, it would probably save Carr's job in Michigan, which would be perfect. The best thing that could happen to Michigan haters is Lloyd Carr remaining in Ann Arbor.

I hope Michigan blows them out.

Converging evidence including several insider reports suggests that Carr is announcing his retirement on Monday regardless of the outcome of THE GAME.

I couldn't disagree more either. Were you saying the same thing when ND rattled off 9 striaght W's over SC? The ND/SC rivalry has almost always been very streaky.

Yeah, that was clearly evident 2 years ago, or even the hype that last year's game got. Which 15 do you think would top it? I think it's in the top 5, but if not that then certainly not outside of the top ten.

I cheer for 3 teams....

1. ND....they will always be #1 to this Irish catholic!
2. OSU....always have liked the Buckeyes
3. Whoever and I do mean WHOEVER happens to be playing the Skunkbears!

Michigan.....I hate OSU just about the most out of any team in college football. I dont hate the fans, just the team.
my hate list: OSU, USC, UM, BC. Honorable mention: any flordia team besides USF, and MSU

I live in Ohio and after listening to the OSU love fest all week, you'd think they were the greatest team in the history of sports.

I know that Tressel isn't really the classy guy Ohioans make him out to be, and I will be pulling hard for UM.

I hate them both, but I hate Michigan a little less.
