Ok.......so we know that the performance of the offense has been, at best, piss-poor so far. There's been much debate about whether it is the result of talent, or coaching. To me, the Navy game will point a finger in one direction or the other. Our offensive line will be going against an undersized defense. I would imagine that Latina and Weis will choose to mostly man block, straight up. If we can't push Navy's D line around, then I don't want to hear any more complaining about the coaching of the offensive line.
Actually, the same goes for the defense. Navy is going to move the ball. They don't lead the NCAA in rushing, year after year, just because of the schedule they play. They are a technically sound team. They are disciplined, and they almost never quit. However, we should be physically superior at every position on the field. I'm going to be paying close attention to this game. Not so much to has a great game. I expect a few guys to have great games against Navy. But I am going to be paying close attention to who has a BAD game. If you can't beat your man consistently, against Navy, then you probably are not good enough to play at ND.
