Whoever starts, Charlie's half ass play calling will make any of them look bad.
Put in Bragg

I'll answer without an ass comment.

If Jimmy is healthy enough to go, he should start. I mean, since the chances of going bowling are gone, why not get him in there. I doubt he's gonna get hit as much as before in these last 4 teams because of the teams we're playing, but you never know. Hopefully we win can win these last 4 games and get some confidence going into next year.

Whatever.

Serioulsy, we have barely seen his calling all year.

The QB is either running for his life over over-throwing the deep ball.

Did you happen to see how many crappy passes Sharpley threw even when NOT under pressure? When did Weis call that? Should Weis continue to call the long ball when his QB obviously can't do it?

Idon't think it really matters who starts against Navy. You still have the same pathetic no-blocking offensive line. I bet Navy ends the losing streak. ND has shown absolutely no positive progress in any phase of the game (with the exception of Laws...he has been a standout

Yeah, I really couldn't give a crap either. Somebody said that Weis said in his presser that he won't start Clausen unless he determines that Sharpley was the real problem, which seems pretty much right to me. Same reason Sharpley didn't deserve to start until JC stunk it up against BC.

But honestly, who cares? I've never been so disheartened ...

Put in Demetrius Jones. No, in all seriousness, let Armando run the wing-t/wishbone/triple option attack. I want to see running plays, mixed in with a little running, and then slammed down my throat with some running plays.

Might as well...it failed for Holtz...I can't see why it wouldn't fail now. ;)

After much reflection I've decided that Sharpley should start for consistency's sake, but he's on a short leash. Start throwing balls every which way to semi-open receivers, and the dream is over.

I disagree play JC, he is the future of this team not Sharpley. Give JC as many reps now as he can get it will make him better in the future

We actually want to start a QB who's offense did NOT score at all last game? It's not all his fault, but he is the QB. Start JC.

I don't WANT to start any of them. I just hate the constant shuffling of players.

I hear ya, though. Heck, I wish Weis had the guts to tell the media and all the rest of us to go screw ourselves, Sharpley was NOT better than Clausen and he was NOT going to make a QB shift. If only. At least now we all know the Truth. (And his name is Corwin Brown.)

Play Evan. He was awful against USC but the alternative is worse. Imagine if Clausen loses against Navy -- and that 43-game or however-long win streak is over. The kid would be mentally shattered. Why do that to your future QB? Evan is more mature and can handle the duties. He won't be great, but Navy's pass defense cannot be any better than USC's.
Domer homers: give up on this year. It's over. We are playing for 2008, and as far as the BCS goes, 2009. Clausen will be a top-10 QB in a few years, but why rush him? Stop foaming about this awful season and look to the future.
ND will rise again.

If he's not by now, he doesn't have a competive bone in his body. Let's build him up for next year and start to pad his stats.

People seem to forget that Quinn was just as worse (if not more) in his freshman year than Clausen. Will next year be any better with Clausen as starter? Who knows. All I can say is that Clausen is the future of ND. He needs to take his lumps this year. Let him finish out the year and get used to how things are in college football.

Let's commit to the running game. I think against the updoming defenses anybody can play at QB. I just want to see 3 running plays in a row. Spend the rest of the season establishing the running game and the passing game will open up. Also put in Luke at FB. For his size Schwaap is an underacheiver. I wonder if Jones wishes he were still around. I think he would have been in some of these games.

Dayne had 6 touchdown passes through his first 5 HIGH SCHOOL GAMES IN HIS SENIOR SEASON. It' hard to prove to me that he is the anwser.
