I was hoping for JJ, I think he is a better blocker than the other backs and would give ES more time. But this is TT game to shine, I hope he eats his Wheaties. GO IRISH!!

I'm really not getting this choice????? Guess Charlie fugures that with the picks that Sharpley will throw we can't afford any fumbles.

I agree. He was listed as the #1 back even at the time of the Mich State game. I think the situation will dictate who is getting what carries. I doubt he will get 30 rushing calls during the game.
I do hope he does well. Even if I prefer one player over another or think another is more deserving, I don't hope for failure on the part of any starter.

He is most likely getting the start because of the un-injured backs he is our most balanced.
AA - Speed and elusivenes, not good at pass blocking and not an every-down back
RH - Bowling ball of power, but not a true all-purpose back...still would like to see what he can do
JJ - Pass blocker, sort of a miniature version of what Scwapp is supposed to do
Those guys are all sort of specialty guys at the moment, so TT gets the start simply because he is our only uninjured all-purpose back. I fully expect the other guys to get worked into the rotation a lot, moreso than usual since JA is out and TT just hasn't shown as much as him.

I think this is a good call and I highly anticipate Weis running the ball and spreading the wealth around. I can see TT and RH(more likely JJ) getting a lot of pounding running plays and mixing it up with AA. I also anticipate some wrinkles to get the ball to Golden.
