that's right USC, and Florida. I think it might be time to see if Masengo Kabongo is still interested in an offer.

My comment was more directed toward the people that were making statements making it seem like ND could just go out and offer a few more DT/NTs that are almost at the same quality as Omar. I know that Kobongo listed ND in his final three even without an offer, that why I mentioned him. As far as Datone Jones goes even if there were enough interest in ND on his side he couldn't really fill the void left by Omar any. I think right now the staff sees him as the Darius Fleming mold anyway.

i thought that a coach couldn't talk/comment about a player that they were trying to recruit. I am pretty sure that is a violation.

I don't doubt that he said it, so since he can't do it publically he would have to have been secondarily quoted. Either that or he thinks that USC is now immune to NCAA violations and sanctions. Which woun't really surprise me either.

Keeping Omar committed is a huge key for the future. He is a future first round draft choice at DT. I'm worried that he will leave but if we win 4-5 games this year I think he may start to see how good we are going to be in the near future. He should also note that our defense is going to be absolutely stout when we get the players needed for the 3-4. If we keep every player committed that we have so far our defense is going to be world beaters in 2-3 years.

There is absolutely nothing that suggests any real interest in USuCk. There is no need for panic, as Hunter has stated numerous times that the only place he is going is South Bend.

Great, now I have a bad feeling b/c you're right when all they talk about is academics, it's not a good sign. I'd throw tradition in there to as most of these kids were 4 yrs old the last time ND had a legitimate claim as a national title contender.

Oh yeah, if ND does win 5 games, I'll do everything in my power to kiss my own ass.

I feel a lot better about our chances with Omar after last night. The two that have any shot to snag him from us (USC, Florida) both lost and we won on the strength of our defense. I just hope this cements the fact that Omar is going to end up in South Bend.
