Yeah, I feel that things would have been drastically different had not quite so many top-ranked teams gone down.

AP isnt. they finally got it right. LSU IS NUMBER 1. I will be honest LSU is the best team i have seen play football since maybe 2000. I am very impressed with them.

I don't pay attention to any of this poll crap any more. It's actually sort of fun having one's team be out of the national title hunt ... too bad this is the last year that's going to happen! :)

I still think Southern Cal is the team to beat right now. I dont see them losing EXCEPT to maybe Cal. Lsu on the other hand deserves to be #1 although I still think the Trojans would beat them head to head.

I'd take that,as long as it was a good solid win and didn't look like a fluke.I would even take a loss to duke and navy for that win.
Of course then notre dame would start getting the reputation of the faust years,but who cars with all the underclassmen starters.

Both the NCAA and all the polls have lost credibility with me. Michigan was ranked #5 and loses to App.St and drops out of the top 25, FL loses to an unranked team and only drops 3 slots.........something smells bad here! And when, in this century, will the NCAA make a ruling on the Reggie Bush debacle at USC. I don't think they ever will...the backlash would be too much for the NCAA...so much for justice and fairness in their rulings.
