The biggest thing for ND today, in my opinion, were penalties, they've given up 6 first downs on penalties. I think if we can work on that, we'll be doing a lot better very soon.

A. Benn 6 rec 84yds Td, kick ret for Td. wish we had got that guy. Imagine, kamara, tate, parris and benn at Wr! Good showin by Nd today. The second half was the first half of football we've won all year! Gettin better.

yeah it seemed like they really turned a corner from the first to second half, maybe it is a sign of things to come. Walls had a rough game maybe purdont will always be one of those teams that give him problems.

Enough time for one post before I head to work. Is this coaching staff THAT obtuse in evaluating our talent? The way Sharpley, Kumara and Tate played, it is UNACCEPTABLE that they are not seeing the field on offense. I believe that if we were running the offense that we ran in the second half today for the entire season, we would not be 0-5.

We have an offensive identity. It's called no huddle (aka 'chuck it and pray').

Defense gets the blame on this one. All they needed was one stop and we were coming back to take the lead. We should stop recruiting DB's whose last name starts with 'W.'

Wouldn't it be ironic if Evan gets the gig, Jimmy transfers at the end of the season, and we have Dayne Crist backing up Evan in his senior year before Crist takes the reins in '09? Does Jimmy make the same throws that Evan did if Weis calls the same plays for him?

My rant is done.

3rd downs and penalties were the difference. They converted most of their 3rd and longs (until late in the game), and ND didn't. Overall, its nice to see some offense. Congrats to Tate, Clausen, Sharpley, and Kamara on their first TDs.

On the money with that comment. Toss up if Evan should start, but Jimmy is getting much needed education of the college game, but at what price?

the first half it seems like we were struggling again, but the second half was good. Sharply is the guy for QB, time to bench Clausen. Evan has more experience, and him and tate seem to have a thing going

While Sharpley did pretty good, I just don't think he's ready to play a full game. We need to be very careful as far as the QBs are concerned.

Sharpley looked good. Much better than I've seen him at avoiding the rush. Still some mistakes. The interception eas overthrown and so was the pass before. I think he was getting excited, and the ball was flying on him. With time he will be more in control. He should start next game. Golden Tate is great. He and Kumara are the future. Hopefully they have some confidence and the team can come out right at the start and do well.

Defense looked good at times. Still way too many mistakes. Penalties, blown coverage, poor tackling. But I think this was easily the best the defense looked so far. We jsut need to develop some form of consistency.

Yeah, imagine that. Except we DO have 3 of the 4 you mentioned and have been playing 2 other receivers that have produced nothing in front of Tate and Kamara.

I do believe in this football program, even more so now that Evan came into the game. Next week is the time that the Irish stomp on the Bruins. Let's go boys and girls there is still a lot of football left. Let's give it up to them.....
