After an Appalachian State ass woopin put down on the Big Blue of Michigan this past saturday has me baffled, stunned, and absolutely HAPPY! For a team that was Preseason ranked #5th Nationally they came out underestimating the team from the hills even though the wolverines said they took this team seriously and was stunned in a thrilling 34-32 victory for the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Big Blue is down and out for the count after this loss and perhaps the biggest upset in college football history. Michigan hosts an Oregon Duck team that runs the same type of offense with team speed and a ton of returning starters on both sides of the ball. So what does that equal to? Oregon comes to Ann Arbor and beats a Michigan team that was too busy thinking about the previous loss to Appalachian State. Oregon 35 Michian 29.

Oregon has a very, very athletic QB at about 6-4 and 220 and can move (ran for over 100 last week) so it wouldnt surprise me if they go into Michigan and take care of business. App. St QB threw for over 200 last weekend and thats with athletes a little less than up to Oregon's standards.

But if I have to go out on a limb and call an upset I would say that either the TCU-Texas game results in an upset OR The Miami Hurricanes upset the Oklahoma Sooners.....

I think I would have to go with TCU and Texas as well. After what happened last week I'm not too sure how many people would be too suprised if Oregon beat Michigan.

Aren't we all? :sigh: I still think it's going to be a pretty hard game to win though.

Happy Valley is certainly a tough place to win...I am already not looking forward to Ohio State's trip there in October...hopefully we get a chance to smooth things out first as opposed to ND getting throw into the fire there in the first two weeks if the season!

Navy beats the State University of New Jersey to continue the exposure of the overrated hype of the Big Least.

Unfortunately, TCU over Texas has the most potential. I'll be there rooting for my Horns.

I completely agree about TCU. I was just trying to pick a "big" upset, and both Texas and TCU are top 20. Yes, it'll be an upset, but I was just trying to go for the shocker. Have fun at the game, and hope we're both wrong about TCU.

Paraphrasing the immortal Lou Holtz:

Someone's gotta pay for what Georgia Tech did last week, and it's going to be Penn State!

What leads anyone to believe that Morelli is any better this year? You're going to see a COMPLETELY different Irish offense this weekend. ND 28 PSU 17
