Last I heard he was going to redshirt this year due to recovering from his serious leg injury that he suffered in the playoffs last year.

Mcknight has a stretched knee ligament and hasn't been in fall practice for over a week. I read he is not expected to get any carries for a few weeks. Broderick Green just got cleared academically so the only healthy RB's left are Desmond Reed, Stafon Johnson and Broderick Green.
