Could this game be the game that solidified our team? Could it be the catalyst to more consistent play? We've seen flashes of greatness on both the offense and defense. Still, inconsistency, and mental mistakes cost us one game and came close to costing another.
Is this the shot in the arm that this team needed to get its groove back? We now move into the middle of our schedule where we should be able to build some confidence and hopefully be going into USC a much improved team.
Maybe it’s just me, but it seemed something just kind of snapped in the second half of the MSU game. Almost like the defense said, the hell with it, we have nothing to lose, let’s just let it all hang out. After that MSU only had 80 yards in the second half, and Stanton did throw his first completion until 2/3 though the 4th quarter.
I think we are going to see a different team from here on out. I didn’t say this after the PSU game because I didn’t really know what kind of team Penn was. I still think we have some fundamental issues w/talent level, but we were not playing even close to our potential.
