On BlueandGold.com // Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football the front page mentions something about Harper having an offer
Just listened to an interview with Chris Harper. I don't have a good feeling about this at all. he said he was surprised at how little was going on on campus during his unofficial visit compared to other schools. He said he didn't have a favorite and will be there for the USC game either officially or unofficially, but really didn't seem too excited about Notre Dame. Judging by the fact that he shares Arthur Brown's "recruiting consultant," I question his interest in getting a ND offer. Don't hold your breath on Harper!!
From a poster at GH. Not sure about his track record, so take it FWIW:
I've actually read the opposite. From what I saw he really liked he visit to ND and thought it was a beautiful campus. So much so that he talked about it quite a bit to A.Brown on their trip of schools through the south and started comparing most of the schools to ND. Some also thought that these talks may have somewhat piqued Arthur's interest in ND. I still don't think A.Brown will end up at ND regardless of which school Harper chooses, but maybe it'll help some next year with Bryce Brown.
I just listened to his interview on Irish Tuesdays by B&G.com (who accually do player interviews every week unlike Power Hour who bores the sh*t out of me with their "board coaches") and I got the vibe that he was a little turned off by the lack of activity in South Bend during the summer. He's coming to the USC game and obviously prefers QB, but it depends on the situation. Not the most flatering of interviews based on his reaction to his visit to SB. He liked the players (DJ, Jabbie, West), but it was dead unlike alot of other places he visited this summer. He said he may decide on NSD so he's obviously not worried about having a spot.
That would be great, but I was under the impression that the two Brown brothers want to play at the same school. Did I misread something about that?

I'm not worried about the whole lack of activity thing. You have to remember he was here when just about eveyone else was home for the summer. If he does end up comming to the USC game then the atmosphere and campus will be a verry different place this time around.
Just read from a poster (purguy12) on sportsline.com's notre dame page that we are in Harpers top three. Has anyone heard anything else about this? This guy on sportsline is usually a pretty accurate poster from what i have seen of him.
It's BS. It says he has a favorite position-QB.
Rivals teaser says he has a favorite - anybody know who? (I'll promise it ain't us.)
Per IUB, this kid's situation is just a huge puzzle. He says he definitely wants to play quarterback in college, which is bad for us. Then he says his favorites are ND, Kansas State, Mizzou, and the Fighting Zooks - which sounds good, until you realize that those other three are all places where he'd be a QB, which makes the ND stuff seem like posturing. THEN he says his two definite official visits are ND and Cal ...
Make of it what you will. I sure won't be holding my breath on this kid.
LOL, you already answered your own question in a different post.
Chris Harper shows off his arm in win
ESPN Top 150 Athlete Chris Harper led Northwest to 30-8 victory over Southeast (Wichita, Kan.) while passing for 91 yards and a TD. After the 6-8 passing performance, Coach Schwartz declared: "Yes, Chris can throw. I mean, Chris Harper is Chris Harper," writes the Wichita Eagle.
